interesting

Wonder how this got here? Did anyone cut and paste it in, or did the publisher put it here?

Not sure, but I certainly didn't! Having seen it here, however, I've done a bit of research on the internet and out of 15 google pages I've only found about five negative comments about Rain publishing, althought interestingly all of those led to dead ends (error file 404) which seemed odd. In any case, here's a sample of the sort of comment:

Brady Magazine- Putting Writers on the Map
Proceed With Caution Rain Publishing - Vanity Publisher ? previous next ... Many feel that Rain Publishing is a vanity publisher - - undercover . ...
users.boardnation.com/~bradymagazine/index.php?board=66;action=display;threadid=103 - 21k - Supplemental Result - Cached - Similar pages

You should always proceed with caution when approaching new publishers, and if they ask you to pay for ANYTHING, or to get a manuscript assessment from a company they recommend, be aware they're probably scammers. It's a sad truth that there are lots of people springing up to prey on the hopes and dreams of writers. Having said that, these guys could be legit. If I find anything else about them I'll post it here, and if anyone else does, please add to this thread. But if you're writing in this genre and want to submit to them, by all means do your own research too.

Good luck

Louise
