Since December of 2007 I have had many encounters with what I believe to be a Sasquatch if not more. Although I have yet to have a visual sighting, my neighbor's sister has while leaving is home. I have, however, had encounters of every other nature. I have had something huge jump out of a tree at the edge of my property breaking branches on the way down and begin running through the woods. This was done as a reaction to my howling. I have heard wood-knocking and when I did the same it would respond in with more. I have howled and had it howl in return. It can be heard from a distance to just within a hundred feet of my home then it goes silent.
I think it gets curious and once it sees that I am a "false alarm" it goes silent.
I have smelt the creature which smells like a mixture of garbage, a hog-pen, and sweaty under-arms. On serveral occasions I have heard ore than one as if communicating. The cries sound very similar to that of an old woman weeping.I have also found scat and what I believed to be weathered tracks.
As I mentioned my neighbor said his sister had seen the animal one evening while departing from his home. According to him, it crossed the road in front of her and scared her so badly she turne around and went back to his house.She claimed the creature exited from a small ravine which is between his house and my own and went behind his house into a hollow. I reported this as well as a sighting near Jackson to the BFRO. With no results. The investigator for Mississippi lives in Washington state and was always too busy. I want to search for the creature but due to safety reasons do want to do so alone.
