fwd cant drift it just ass drags with the ebrake. a real drift is when you usually enter the corner almost side ways and exit almost side ways and maintain almost full speed the entire time. i have had a few fwd cars and i know there is no way to truely drift unless you set up the suspension completely retarded(rediculous spring rates in the rear with spare tire donuts to make sure there will not be any unwanted traction during drift) and this setup would be most useless on the street especially when raining. the closet thing one could come to drifting is using some fast food trays under the rear wheels while the ebrake is completely locked up. pretty fun too! i did it last night! you can really maintain good speed and hold sideways for days if you have good throttle control! i highly recomend it for any one with a fwd set up car. now dont get me wrong... its takes a lil set up for a rwd to drift also. for the rwd youll need an lsd and slight suspension mods would be apprecieted. but when it comes down to it the only powerslide youll do will be in a rwd because the rear tires will break loose but youll still be able to steer the car around... a fwd doesnt do either. it "pushes" aka understeer where the FRONT wheels break loose and you cant steer for crap you just kinda go straight. |
