I was at the 10-man last Sunday and had something happen that really irritated the HELL out of me. The refs were telling where the the other team was!! The one team that it happened to was team abv. So if you ask me they (abv) got screwed out of how ever much money they ended up spending that day and who ever else got squeeled on. I don't know what the deal was but I think it is a CROCK of CHIT when you have to stoop to that level. I do'nt know where they ended up placeing and relize it was'nt for no major prizes but not the point. But who knows maybe they would have won the thing if this was'nt happening if they did'nt win. The point is this a chitty way to run a tourny and I know it has happened before maybe not to this team but to others, I have heard people talk about it and have always said nah not Rob but yeah Rob was right there when this was going on. I hope this do'nt hurt GRC turn outs but hope it opens the eyes of others and to GRC to Please do'nt let these things happen, This is not what PAINTBALL is about. I know I was just as wrong for not speaking up then but I am now and am here to say SORRY to abv and others for not standing up and saying something then.

If your going to post stuff like this and critisize the reffing and GRC. Don't post as anonymous. I was reffing/playing throughout the day and never once saw that. I DID CATCH PLAYERS FROM A CERTAIN TEAM TALKING TO THEIR PLAYERS AFTER BEING DEAD! No names though. Not to mention the refs were doing us all a favor by just being there and reffing. 20 guys on a field at one time is kinda hard to ref with under 10 guys. Just my 2 cents.

the reffs were a few kids who have never reffed before, they dont know anyone that was playing.This was there debut, and did a ok job.They are first timeres and did give away positions by not verbally. They followed and hovered over players to much.

As for screwing abv, no that didnot happen!They would have no reason or desire to do that! As far as and investment... each player spent around $45 including paint and played all day!

sunday was a SUPER CHEAP for fun only day.

And another quick note, I have never aided a team in any way at a event at grc. Nor have I allowed foul play by reffs. I have sent reffs away for that kind of stuff.

QFT rob. It was a great time for a great price. I couldnt tell that it ws the ref's first time. They did a great job. They definetly didnt tell me where anyone was, cause then maybe I would have shot more than one person. Great idea, planning, and execution of my first 10-man tourny...

refs did an awsome job, i'v been reffing those kids and watching them turn into lil ballers and it was cool to see them doing a great job reffing.

I played for at least two teams and got shot every game, got pulled out every game and never was i told where anybody was and I am robs Dad. Seems if there was going to be favoritism I would have gotten some. Hell, all I got was welts! Sure had fun though.

yea i didnt play in the 10 man so i wont no first hand.. but as far as i no the refs have ben really good there. I'v played a lot of turrnys there and never had a probelm with ne of the refs giveing away ne of the postions as paul said cant plz all. GRC has the best staff in NY, along with great reffs. don go bitching just cuz u thought the refs sucked. as rob said too they were new refs give them a break!
