brew gig?? please explain this.Yes..maybe a lot of the old boys are wearing nikes now, and thats o.k. You see....i'm 34 now, was part of the scene since I was 15 in the east, when things were fuckin' hardcore..treasury hotel on a fri: night, shoulder to shoulder..300 strong, it was quite a time. A lot of my old crew members settled down with family..much like myself..a lot passed away or were incaserated, but thats life. I still wear my boots at times..mainly my brouge shoes, but still sporting my shermans and perrys with pride. I went through the hard knocks and when you earned your colours, it did'nt matter if you chose to wear nikes.
once you decide to tattoo yourself from neck to fingers about your way of life....thats how you remain.I was proud of being a working class skinhead....and today still am.
So....i'm just looking for places to reassociate myself with the family again. When I noticed this was a ska site..I thought there may have been pubs or clubs in perth where ppl meet?? If theres not...maybe it's time to call a place of our own.
It does'nt need to be voilent like it was in the early 80's..a place where traditional ska and oi boys can meet...bcause from our roots, mods,rudeboys and skins are all the same. What do you guys say?? lets kick it of!!
