One can prayerfully compare John 1:1-4 with Genesis 1:1, John 1:14 , Is 43:11, Col 1:17.
Jesus is introduced as "The Word" .
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.
Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Christ is the source of eternal life and the light for all
those who become saved. The Bible is trustworthy and reveals
exactly who Christ is.
Christ Jesus is also referenced in Scripture as The Door ,The Life ,Living Bread ,The Beloved,The Bread of Life, The Good Shepherd, King eternal,
Which is, Which was , Which is to come ( Revelation 1:8 ) and as true believers joyfully know - The Word . \o/ \o/ !
Those needing that little "a" added at the end of John 1:1 -- can keep
that little "a" .
Rejoicing always ,

John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture.
