WINE FUTURES??? Has anybody even heard these?

I notice in the intro the mention of Wine Futures??? No clue here ... If any of you know this I wanto know how organize, how can buy?

Wine futures are not commodity contracts. It's just a way of purchasing wine in advance. As soon as the vinyard harvests & crushes the grapes -- and sometimes sooner -- they will offer some for "future" sales. You don't really know how the wine will turn out at this point, so it's a bit of a gamble. If it turns out to be a great wine, you get a bargain. If not...

I see on the internet different sites where (after opening an account) you can buy 'wine futures'. There is a couple of exchanges recently opened
www.winefex.com (Bordeaux's) and www.thegrapeexchange.com (I think SA wines). Aren't these contracts?
