I replied to this on Dakota's board, but I'll do it here, too.
First, the hoops. Just takes a lot of practice. After a while, the broom seems so easy to control that you will be able to do it. Just take about a half hour or so to learn the controls and it will be a piece of cake.
Devil's Snare: this is actually a little easier than it looks. First, you have to take out the tentacles. To do this, ONLY aim for the one that turns bright green. If you hit a dark green tentacle, the light green ones that you killed will regenerate. After the tentacles are gone, you have to be swift with the next part. Aim at the large tentacle that comes out and hit it with a charged Flipendo knockback jinx. It must hit dead one, and you have to be quick and move away before it can attack you. Then you must hit it before it regenerates until the blue bar is completely depleted. At that point, you must quickly hit it with an incendio spell, but if you don't hit it the first time with the spell, you have to start over from the beginning (it will regenerate). So make sure that you've memorized the position of all the buttons on your game controller if you don't want to start over.
