Anita acts as a tragic character, Su Fen, in ：River Flowing East；. She was separated from her husband during the war and when they were reunited, her husband had become an evil person. She sighs when she thinks of her character・s ceaseless love for her husband ．cos if she were to face such a relationship in real life, she would never force herself to carry on. She said, ：We should let go of things that ought to go. After all, women should have their own world too.；
As this is the first time she is playing a character in this period (of China in 1930s and 19040s), she was rather nervous when she first started ．cos she was afraid she could not ．get the feel・ right. But she・s alright now, she said, ：My friends and I find that I could portray a woman of that period rather well.； (Yes, anita, we know u can make it! No role is beyond you! Go anita!)
Even tho・ she is a screen queen, anita has acted mainly in tv serials in recent years, drifting further away from movies. However, Anita doesn・t feel there・s anything wrong with it and said she enjoyed acting in tv serials. She said, ；In HK, a movie wraps up filming in 20 days time, before I could fully understand my character. For tv serials, I can slowly appreciate my character.；
Anita said she has a ：love-fear； feeling for fellow actor, Chen Daoming. She said, ：I・m afraid of him. My hand trembles when I see him. (I think anita・s really in awe of him!) But I also like him very much as he is so charming. Even though my character in the show rejected Chen・s character・s love, but in reality, I like men like that. I like every aspects of him! (wow! Now I・m really curious abt him too!) During filming, he gave me a lot of advice, like how I should plan my future career, etc. He has helped me a lot.； (wat a great mentor chen is to anita!)
