As from the year 1990, after winning the 1st prize at HK Beauty Contest,and after winning many movie awards,Anita'life was surrounded by lots of fans. But with a strong personality,Anita Yuen also proposed for herself own principles. Although she always wanted to earn as much money as she could,when the movie industry didn't grow well,she still waited for good scenarios and good roles. Therefore, for a long time,people couldn't find her on screen,her repute also became dim little by little. And the aftermath was lots of rumours on her,certainly,not good for her at all. "At first,I wanted to explain,but later,I found out that whatever you say,you cannot change everyone's view of you. So i ignored all rumours"

"About reducing artist's salary,I think that our economy is facing many difficulties that leads to reducing salary expense for workers in many industries ,not just movie. However,I'm not sure this solution is effective and useful for movies. In my opinion, we should make good scenarios to attract spectators...Hence,I decide to wait for good scenarios...."

I've never been pleased with my figure. At my teenage,I always felt that I've got a rigid body,like a mischievous boy with short hair.My friends said "...You're pretty tall...you should become a model or join the Beauty Contest..."
Truthfully, I wasn't interested in what they advised then,but I finally decided to join HK Beauty Contest.
However,that's because I want to be an actress,I love acting...I also heard that many famous actresses started their career from this contest.Reading magazines, I found that many girls who got high rates in the contest are always treated with special attention by reporters.And directors,hence,found out them much faster. That's why I decided to choose this way to join movie industry.
I always try my best to use my brain,not my figure, in my work.
I know,I'm not a stunning,beautiful woman,and certainly,I couldn't be called the most beautiful candidate.I just hoped my name could be in top10 list, so directors might know who I am. I couldn't imagine that I passed top10 then top 5, and finally,won the 1st prize..."
