OK, this's not the latest news on Anita but rather as a side-entry. The article in the Straits Times (major English newspaper in Singapore), Life section is on Vivian Chow's comeback. The column at the side looks at how other stars of her era had fared so far. The other 2 are: Charlie Young & Athena Chu. Entitled, "1990s sweetie-pies, then and now." , here's what it says:

"Anita Yuen, 35
Crowned Miss Hong Kong in 1990, she made her film debut as a lesbian in The Days of Being Dumb (1992). It earned her the Best Newcomer Award at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 1993. She also won Best Actress for her role in He's a Woman, She'A Man (1994) opposite Leslie Cheung. She is the girlfriend of actor-singer Julian Cheung for the past 14 years.
Retirement plans: None. But she has stayed out of the limelight since January, sparking rumours that she is pregnant, although Yuen and Cheung denied them.
Last seen: Acting as a long-suffering wife in the drama The River Flows Eastwards last year. She also appeared as a spirited orphan in Drunken Kungfu, a Hong Kong-Mediacorp period drama serial last year."

I'm rather surprised that she's being categorized as a 'sweetie-pie', together with the likes of Charlie Young, when she was never one. And as far as I can remember, never been labelled as one before until now. What do you guys think?

And the reporter seemed to have missed out critical infor like, the fact that she was the only actress so far who have won HK's Best Actress consecutively in 1995 for her role in "C'est la vie, Mon Cherie." Plus, if her 'Last Seen' refers to last seen in Singapore, then what abt the fact that she has been appearing in Adonis ads on tv? Not to mention her nomination last year for her role in Love's Lone Flower for Asian TV Awards.

But at least she finally appeared in ST, after a really long time & it's not on some silly rumour like Chilam's alleged fling in Thailand. Haha!
