In Chilam's defense

by

I think that Chilam is in a very bad position right now, especially in this forum. Well, I'm pretty confident that there's no third person in between Anita and Chilam. In regards to all of the decision-making, it does seem like all of the big decisions are made by Chilam, and now the cancelling of the wedding is also blamed on Chilam's decision.

Let us see, however, if Anita is in Hong Kong and Chilam is in Mainland China instead. If this is the case, Anita will be coming out to face the media and say that they cancelled the wedding. Afterwards, those in the Chilam forum will blame Anita for not caring about Chilam, that Chilam sacrificed a lot for her especially for his career, etc.

Anita is a good planner, for a long time, she has been prepared to work behind-the-scenes. She knew long ago that working on screen will end some day. She has been prepared for marriage. However, Chilam is unprepared because his career blossomed this year. Therefore, it is rational for Chilam to make the decision.

As for proposing on the radio and the wedding news etc, it is strange how when I heard the interview first-hand, it was not quite a "proposal". He mumbled "I will marry her someday". If one didn't listen carefully, kinda like me, one could easily miss it. (Luckily, there's the rewind button on realplayer) Somehow, the news immediately made a big thing out of it, and said that he "proposed" to Anita etc. Anyone who heard the interview could witness with me. Therefore, I do not believe that the "proposals" and wedding announcements were used to boost up his popularity. I believe it was the media had nothing to write about, had to boost up sales, and made everything seem so much more than it really is.
