I heard on Chinese radio yesterday some important info about the breast-growing product industry in Hong Kong. In the program, Cheung Mo Gei discussed the problems and effectiveness of the breast-growing products. Here is what he said (I've added some of my own scientific feedback):
Next Magazine reporters made some studies with the breast-growing products. They went to various Chinese herbal shops, consulted various scientists, and tested with various ladies, and they made the following discoveries:
The Chinese medicine listed on the bottles contain various cheap ingredients. The most expensive ingredient is ginseng, and there are cheap kinds of ginseng, too. Therefore, the $100-200 is not worth it. Meanwhile, the most expensive ingredient, ginseng, has no effect on breast growth. Also, most of the products (ie the soap, cream, and sticker products) are ineffective.
Meanwhile, beware of the effective ones. The Chinese herbs do not apparently have effects on breast growth, rather, they discovered the pills contain excitatory substances (ie. neurotransmitter mimics), thus increasing neural activity and enhancing growth. These substances should have been prescription drugs only.
Next Magazine also said that if one no longer takes the drug, the breast will turn back to how it was before. (This may be scientifically explained, since the human body has a tendency to return to the way the genes mark the body to be. This is the reason why genetically inherited obese people have problems turning skinny because their bodies have a tendency to be the way the genes mark them to be.)
BIG WARNING:
There are three major side effects of the pill:
1) liver problems - if problems are severe, may lead to death~~
2) it is carcinogenic - if there are cancerous cells in the body, it may increase growth rate~~
3) it affects menstrual cycle - if problems are severe, may cause infertility~~
