Summary:
Trương Phú Quý and Hà Tiểu Xuân lived next-doors to each other, and almost everyone knows of Tiểu Xuân’s little crush on Phú Quý. Knowing that Tiểu Xuân will do anything to help him, Phú Quý used her to his advantage. He always bullied her around, making her do things for him while Tiểu Xuân gladly did it, always thinking that one day she will be his wife. Phú Quý after seeing Phương Nhu, the daughter of a high-ranking official, decided to run for a rank himself in order to match with her. He enlisted Tiểu Xuân’s help, who had thought that Phú Quý’s main reason for wanting to be an official was to marry her later. Once Phú Quý successfully won the rank, his intentions were exposed to Tiểu Xuân, who became furious and her love for him turned into hatred.
While Phú Quý always vied for Phương Nhu’s affections, her eyes never laid upon him but on Diệp Văn Hỷ, the one she had always loved from young. As Phú Quý strived to win Phương Nhu’s heart, Tiểu Xuân was out to ruin his schemes of trying to separate Phương Nhu and Văn Hỷ. When Phú Quý finally realizes his love for Tiểu Xuân is it too late...? Aside from the love story, murder trials and cases of power struggle emerged throughout the series, creating more troubles and complications for the couples.
by Mr. Cheung Suk Ping - the famous fashion designer in HK film industry. He designed costume and hair style for Anita in Mulan as well as in SOD. SOD's costume is of course the most charming and attractive, and this one is not bad, lovely yet low key.

Do you know what sort of character Anita played in this TV series? Elegant, feminine and deep like Ying Ying? Or, silly and shallow like Shum Heung? I read that Anita played someone talkative, always quarrel with ChiLam. Is it true? I do not like Anita plays talkative, boyish, shallow and silly role. Mariska, please describe to me a little bit about Anita's character in this TV series, so that I will decide whether to buy this VCD or not. Thanks a lot.

even my friends that don't know her say so... it's a lil too large... I want one that just fits her perfectly.... but when I went to the official site for the movie.. they say that she looks nice in the red outfit that she used to pound the drums in, she looked really thin in the black outfit when she went to save chilam, and she looks cute in this outfit.. they said that after she got married to chilam in th emovie, her outfit didn't like that nice anymore.. I WANNA SEE!!!!!

for this TV series so that I can visit the website. I agree that the outfit is a bit too large. But her coat with fur looks expensive, young and fashionable.
Anyway, Ying Ying's outfit is still the best. Thank you for the designer - Cheung Suk Ping.

The site is very descriptive. But unfortunately I found out that I do not like Anita's role in that series. That was not a very elegant and beautiful role. Too bad. I hope Anita's role in her new series South Shaolin playing Lui Xi Liang will be a more elegant role.

The whole thing is just criticising the whole film about how it has so many loopholes, and how the acting and storyline is so bad and blah blah...I still don't like the 4 newbies, so truthfully, I'm not very keen on the show either. I don't mind watching it though....at least to see a 'new' anita.

Kung Fu Girls is about four girls, who under their record company's arrangement, receive training in Karate, singing and dancing. However, mishaps happen at the press conference. So, off they go to Mt Wutai for stricter training. Unfortunately, the group is disbanded on returning and they return to their normal lives, and a series of events is sparked off among each of them. I've found some news about the series from Anita's forum, but it didn't mention about Jason & Teresa. The news stated that Zhang Ting is the female lead together with Hu Bing. Anyways, here's the news (translated by smiley) :D
Anita's next series is a sequel to a show called Nan Shao Lin. Chilam has also been invited to star in the show together with Anita and some other artistes from the prequel. Filming starts in September in Hengdian(city), ZheJiang (Province), China. Other places where filming wouod take place are FuJian.
The atory is about two princes, 3rd and 4th, who were sent to Fujian to check on the Eagles sect. However, they ended up struggling for power with each other. In the end, South Shaolin Sect helped 4th Prince, whose competitor then became First Prince. The Shaolin monks helped 4th Prince once again and decided to carry out sneak attacks on First Prince. The temple then got destroyed and the monks had to roam the country. 4th Prince got imprisoned. 1st Prince decided to train rebel troops to seize the throne. Luckily, the king, Yongzheng, discovered the plot and together with the Shaolin monks, managed to succeed in obliterating the rebels.
I don't think Zhang Ting can be the lead female or Hu Bing as the leading male. Becuz Jason is the leading male in here....he started in part 1, so he will start in part 2 as well. Theresa was the leading female in part 1, but I dunno if she will be in part 2...maybe Anita will take that place. But surely Hu Bing and Zhang Ting won't be lead.....they will be a supporting role.

Debbie, I've gotta sth to ask u. Do u fully understand HK articles? I just found out sth, they go by the Canto sound, so basically, u've got to really have some idea on Cantonese b4 u can understand the article. It's no wonder I've always not been able to understand Hk articles at all! I always found them totally wierd. Their 'gie (give)' is some funny word with that 'ren2 zi4 pang2' and the 'bei1' word. Look at the 1st 4 words of the article: "bu4 jing1 bu4 jue2" rite? It's the 'cheng2 yu3' 'bu4 zhi1 bu4 jue2'. After so long....gosh, i'm slow. At last i can read a little Hk articles, I never knew what they were talking about!
Anyway, here goes:
Title: Chilam having balding problems. On Anita's b'dae, he was very unhappy
Unknowingly, Anita, who always see herself as a ravishing beauty, has finally turned 32. Last Thurs, Anita booked the turf club restaurant and invited relatives and friends to attend her birthday celebration. Chilam, as her bf and half-owner, should have been warmly welcoming guests. However, he was sitting in a corner and did not speak to anyone at all, throughout the entire night. Chilam was using a medicine which prevented hair loss or sth, so reporters suspect that he was very frustrated over his balding problems which have probably just started.
At midnight when it was time for ANita to cut her cake, Chilam continued to remain in his corner and didn't even give Anita a 'birthday kiss'. Anita had to serve birthday cakes to reporters outside personally and after that, when Chilam was asked abt what b;dae gift he had given her, he replied 'Beef sth lor!' (sorry! I dunno wat it's called in Eng!)

It always brings a smile to my face whenever Anita is in the news.
The reporters might have misunderstood (or wrongly interpreted) Chilam's actions that night. But if that were all true, then I'm disappointed in Chilam. I wish he could show a happier face on Anita's birthday, despite whatever problems were troubling him. How could he not give Anita a 'birthday kiss'?!

Yes, I admit that chilam should have shown some happiness in that party. However, we can't believe everything the reporters say...as you can see in movies, reporters can be pretty horrible sometimes. It's obvious in the pics that something was troubling chilam and instead of just saying he's cruel n' all, we should hope he feels better soon. I'm sure that Anita won't like it if all her fans goes saying that her bf for over 10 years is cruel---and the only person that knows how close their relationship is, is anita and chilam themselves. Probably you all know that I am a chilam fan more than an anita fan but I'm not saying this to support chilam. I wouldn't be saying anita is mean if it was vice versa in this situation. I dunno about other fans but I'm not that kinda person and I hope you guys arn't either.

Oh, I think 4 the Adonis ad, Anita did put on a lot of wt. IT was right after the filming of Drunken Fists. In those Drunken articles, everyone said that she kept on eating titbits and she was always munching away at all times. The director even told her to slim down or else the scenes wouldn't connect. I think she really did put on a lot of wt at that time. The news posted showed pics of her when she went back to HK. The Adonis pics were shot in Malaysia. That's why she looks much thinner, however, her face is still a little round in some earlier pics. I think I like Anita better skinny, but not too much like in C'est. I think she looks so pretty as Yingying or in Innocently. Her figure in these 2 shows is the best! :p

yesterday afternoon, "the chinese kung fu girls"'s director and actresses Anita and someone. haha went to hu zho. Anita received welcome and love by everyone there and the people started asking "len len" questions.
interviewer: hi len len, you haven't come here in a long time! This year, it seems as if you come less.
Anita: yes yes, the year before last year, usually when I came to china, I went to beijing, last year, it was shanghai, only now did I come here for promotion.
interviewer: you were busy for such a long time, are you planning to take a LONG vacation anytime soon?
Anita: actually, right now, it feels like I'm on vacation, because recently, I've been just filming this and China has two weekends that let me feel relaxed (smiley? help! it's something about two weeks that let her feel relaxed.) I'm not the kind of person that likes to have long vacations, so I got rid of all the times that we have to take a vacation, incase I spend all my time day dreaming about marriage and having kids etc.
interviewer: a lot of people wonder when you are going to have kids. before on the web, there was news that you were going to have kids next year?
Anita: haha, who said that? actually every year, I want to have kids, it was always a dream, but after someone calls for work, like the press, or for a movie, I forget all about it.
interviewer: so how's your relationship with Chilam currently?
Anita: haha, we're pretty good. well everyone has their own circle of friends, we usually seperate and do whatever we want. He has his manstalk(what is this?) and I have my own group of friends to hang around with. I think it's good this way.
interviewer: this year, you gave a lot of people the feeling that you grew up. do you notice your change in any way?
Anita: well people always have to grow up. if you are an actress or actor, it's always nice to give audience the feeling that you are grown up and mature.
interviewer: currently, a lot of hong kong actors and actresses have come to china, in the future, are you going to come here to film often also?
Anita: I am a very greedy(?) person, I have always wanted to film a series with a historical background, but the thing is I don't understand a lot of china's history and the way they do things so if anyone mentioned it, I would always go and listen.
interviewer: a director (I don't know who, help smiley!) also films a lot of type of movies as you do, do you wish to work together?
Anita: well in China, there are a lot of great directors. If we can work with him, plus our (hong kong's) way of filming, I think it would be very succesful and in certain parts, I can add parts about history.
interviewer: so now, you don't really film movies in hong kong anymore right?
Anita: yeah, I have already gotten used to the ways here, in china, everyday, we would only have to work for 10 hours, in hong kong, it is very different, especially if you film series there. it is VERy tiring...

I've read some parts of the novel STATE OF DIVINITY, of course only after I watched Anita's series and fell in love with her character. And you're right, I never read the Chinese kung-fu novels, but when I read parts of this book (parts where YingYing and HuChong meet), and imagining it's Anita, the book became very good, I got very interested in it.

Anita went to Guangzhou for the promotion. Anyway, to ans your qns:
Anita has recently just been doing promotions for her previous shows, so it's quite relaxing for her. In between, there would be one or two weeks for her to rest too.
The director is Zhang Yimou, he's one of the top directors in China. He's the one who directed Hero(Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung).
Oh, btw, Anita said that it would be a good experience for her to work with him and she would be able to learn more about China's history.

Sharon Au is a S'pore actress, bilingual and one of the smarter actresses around. She once worked with Anita in an episode of Whazzzup. It was when Anita came to S'pore to film an episode on S'pore food and nightlife. Sharon Au was the appointed tour guide of Anita by out TV station and she co-hosted that episode. U can ask her a qn about how it was like working with Anita if u guys like....though it isn't guaranteed if Sharon would ans your qn. :p

I was trying to find out what "Hua Yi" was in English. Besides the 3 stars, other HK and Taiwanese stars had signed under Hua Yi Company. I still don't know the English name, but Hua Yi is practically one of the bigger companies around, covering movies, TV series and music. Yang Zhi Jing = Michelle Yeoh (Malaysian). Michelle Yeoh's signing with the company would be held formally with all those reporters while Anita Mui's is in Oct and Anita's in Nov. :p

Anita and Chilam met each other while filming. So who was it who took the first step? Chilam answered, "Anita is more talkative, it should be her!" Anita did not argue but later, she divulged. When they started dating, Anita merely wanted to "fool around," and wasn’t too serious about the relationship because friends said that Chilam was a playboy and hoped that she would not date him. Upon hearing this, Chilam felt accused, as if he had been struck by lightning, and explained, "I was very serious right from the start..."
There would also be a wonderful show of the modern version of "Guo Jing" and "Huang Rong" (Characters in a Jin Yong aka Louis Cha novel)!
Is the male lead a playboy?
"10 years ago, I was filming with Anita in Beijing. When we first met, our eyes did too…Upon completion of the movie and during the trip back to HK on the plane, we kept chatting." Soon after, Anita accidentally divulged "the male lead’s" name during her birthday celebration. HK reporters then started creating stories of the two and hence, they boldly disclosed their relationship to the public.
However, Chilam would not automatically talk about their relationship. He does not like to bring his girlfriend into a conversation regarding his work. When they first started, Anita said, "Alright, let’s see first! I’m not serious about him anyway. However, she gradually fell for him." But Chilam remained insistent that he was serious right from the start.
During a mini-concert in HK in 2000, when it was the peak of the concert, Chilam suddenly stopped singing and quietly said, "Recently, there has been a lot of rumours encircling me. However, it is useless trying to explain it to my girlfriend. I can only sing it out..."
Anita, who was off-stage, shed tears.
The female lead being more popular?
Chilam and Anita’s character are very different, and besides, the female has been more popular than the male throughout the years. Thus, many people do not approve of their relationship.
Chilam, who is very sensitive, would sometimes appear solemn in public and he rarely speaks, not even about his relationship. Until Guan, Chilam finally couldn’t avoid being "asked" (by reporters), "If a pair of lovers are both in the entertainment industry, then they would definitely have the opportunity to perform together unless one party is incredibly not outstanding. We do not hope that the public views our relationship as always being in the shadows, but we could use it to give a refreshing outlook to a show."
Despite being in the same production team and living in the same room, the two of them actually seldom exchange words. After work, they would each retrieve their scripts to read quietly on separate desks. Both are performers, with even more competition in between. The first to complete reading their scripts would then get to sleep first. They would sometimes discuss about the show too. Chilam has high expectations of himself while Anita is often unreasonable. Thus, they would end up in a scuffle during discussions, with both refusing to budge. In the end, they would get the director to settle their disputes.
Chilam emphasises that they each have their own personal lives, career, and even separate houses. However, they live very close to each other. From his own window, he is able to observe Anita waking up, Anita crying while watching his serials and Anita scolding the bad guy in the series, "bullying my boyfriend." Whenever she does that, he would be deeply touched.
Though Anita looks fatuous and doesn’t think twice when dealing with situations, Chilam is however, mainly attracted by her "honesty." "Although she is cute to the extent of being a little ‘crazy,’ I feel that she does not know how to lie to others, not to her friends, and I guess she would not lie to me too! We are both ‘pugilists’ and the most important thing is that we would not be betrayed by others."
Most of the time, Chilam describes Anita as "a boy who is very hot-tempered." When she had short hair, he said that it was like feeling a male and he didn’t like sitting on the couch with her because it was as if two males were sitting together.
He hopes that his girlfriend could leave shoulder-length hair, the type students often have, just like when she was in the movie, ‘Cuo Ai’ of 1994. Upon knowing about this, Anita yelled, "No one keeps such hairstyles nowadays! Big brother, can you please not mistreat me like that?" However, Chilam merely replied, "You were prettiest then."
Hard to change Chilam’s "valuing friends more than his girlfriend"
Till now, despite the two being lovers, they are more like family. Anita and Chilam’s relationship still seems a little weird, since both are independent and play with their own friends, without having to consider the other party’s feelings.
The rest is about Chilam. I did only the parts with Anita. hehe...how touching. Anita's so protective of Chilam...I love the part when Anita scolds the baddie in Chilam's series and the part when she yelled about the shoulder-length hairstyle being old-fashioned. How about u guys? Smile always! :p

It has been very long since Anita has appeared. Memories of this once-famous actress have almost faded. Finally, we get to see her in Cao Ming Xian Ling (new title for Guan Chang)." Her smile is still as sweet as ever and so is her performance - mischievious and active. The journalist might be from Beijing or some Northern province of China. Shows are usually released in Southern Provinces like Guangdong.

Anita's next series is a sequel to a show called Nan Shao Lin. Chilam has also been invited to star in the show together with Anita and some other artistes from the prequel. Filming starts in September in Hengdian(city), ZheJiang (Province), China. Other places where filming wouod take place are FuJian.
The atory is about two princes, 3rd and 4th, who were sent to Fujian to check on the Eagles sect. However, they ended up struggling for power with each other. In the end, South Shaolin Sect helped 4th Prince, whose competitor then became First Prince. The Shaolin monks helped 4th Prince once again and decided to carry out sneak attacks on First Prince. The temple then got destroyed and the monks had to roam the country. 4th Prince got imprisoned. 1st Prince decided to train rebel troops to seize the throne. Luckily, the king, Yongzheng, discovered the plot and together with the Shaolin monks, managed to succeed in obliterating the rebels.

I was wondering why Zhang Ting could be the lead, but she's rising fast though. However, I don't think Anita is compatible with Hu Bin....I know he's supposed to be handsome, but he is erm....just ok to me and his acting is not really good either. Anyway, there was this Jap war show where Anita played 2nd lead. Maybe she's 2nd lead here...

It Julian surpose to be in this series. From other forum Hu Bin acting is horrible who can be me the male lead. Still I like Zhang Tinh but I still think it impossible for here to be lead over my Anita.
