Since giving birth 2 months ago, Anita Yuen Wing Yee still has not lose the weight she gained during pregnancy. However Anita is not interested in becoming a spokesperson for a slimming company, as she does not want to wear a swimsuit in the ads. Her only option is to lose weight through exercise.
Anita was spotted in Central shopping for a birthday cake for her second cousin's birthday. Anita did not wear any make-up and donned a black leather jacket and sunglasses yesterday.
How is Anita and Chilam Cheung's baby son doing? "Next week, he will be 2 months old already! Earlier, we had a family dinner to celebrate the baby's first month!"
Anita admits that she has to put increased effort in losing weight. "I'm very fat now; I still need to lose 15 pounds!"
Did any weight loss companies contact Anita? "Yes, but I rejected them. I am no longer a young teenager and do not wish to wear a swimsuit in the ads. In the past it was okay to wear a swimsuit, but I am a mother now."
"The slimming companies said they would sponsor me for life, but I want to rely on myself and exercise to lose the excess weight!"
Since Anita had a C-section when her baby son was born, [her body only recovered recently] and she has started exercising. She often jogs and walks in her neighborhood. Anita hopes to spend more time with her son, so she will take a break before returning to acting, unless there is a good script and the filming location is in Hong Kong.
2007 will be the baby's first Lunar New Year, his chance to receive red envelopes! Anita said she will definitely spend the Lunar New Year in Hong Kong!
Earlier, the paparazzi had taken unauthorized photos of Anita at home. Exasperated, Anita said, "Even when we close the blinds, they are able to take photos of us!"

Anita doesn't look THAT fat! i mean she lost some of it, well in the first picture she does, but the second picture, her face is okay. she's still cute.
the HK paparazzi are so scary! they're invading their privacy, a restraining order needs to be placed on them. hahahha anita snuck out twice? that's so cute. I can't believe they want her to be in a weight loss commercial!! that's so mean!! LOLOLOL!! like whatever opportunity they have, they go stalk her. poor girl.
I really want to see the baby!!! the baby's hand looks sooooo adorable!!!! gosh.
I hope anita goes back to acting soon, but only after she feels comfortable. hehe
okay that's all. THANKS delfin!

Thanks man, haven't heard anything about Anita in ages! Haha, "whatever opportunity they have"?? Lol, it's their FULL-TIME occupation! Hehe, why don't Chilam and Anita put up mirrors all over the exterior of their house? The reporters wouldn't be able to 'peep in' then :p

Here's a summary of all the interviews done recently
by Delfin
with Anita and Chilam plus news in late November and December 2006 that were not translated yet.
1. Re date of birth, contrary to reports, Chilam denied that they had picked an auspicious date for the baby¡¯s delivery.
2. One of the reasons why they were able to fool the paparazzi; getting admitted as well as discharged from the hospital without being discovered was the fact that they had deliberately misreported the name of the hospital where Anita would be in. Everyone thought she was in The Matilda when in reality she was at The Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital. (Yeung Wo in Cantonese.) Besides having a password for visitors, they also thanked the nurses and doctors for their co-operation. At one point, Chilam borrowed a surgical mask to disguise himself but was surprised to be recognized at the lobby. One member of the public went up and congratulated him. Anita chuckled, ¡°Haha! And he thought he was being clever.¡± Nevertheless, his other disguises must have worked for no one had spotted him at public places buying breakfast for Anita during her confinement.
3. Their visitors included Aaron Kwok, The Shum family (Chingmy Yao¡¯s hubby) and Peter Chan. They made so much noise that the nurses had to ask them to lower their voices. Besides ¡®red packet¡¯ money, Peter Chan also gave Anita a baby stroller. (Wow! He really dotes on her.) Most of their relatives gave ¡®red packets¡¯ as gifts.
4. Anita has been instructed by her doctor not to take any tonic or Chinese medicine to purge blood stasis as she¡¯s breastfeeding, meaning that the baby eats whatever she eats. But she does submit to her cravings for McDonalds occasionally though. Basically she eats as per normal.
5. Initially Chilam acted cool when he accompanies Anita for her ante-natal check-ups but was secretly excited. Whenever she does her ultra-sound, he¡¯ll like lean against the door. As her foot was propped up against the door, he didn¡¯t realized that he was actually closing the door on her foot until Anita went, ¡°Hey, if you don¡¯t stand aside, my foot¡¯s gonna break into half after this!¡± (LOL Haha, they¡¯re so funny!)
6. The baby¡¯s eyes resemble Chilam¡¯s but his eyes¡¯ expression looks like Anita¡¯s. He even knows how to throw sidelong glance at others. (Cool!) His nose, mouth and ear all resemble Anita¡¯s. He even inherited his Mum¡¯s loud voice. He¡¯s got beautiful, long, slender fingers ¨C a future pianist in the making.
7. Interviewers have commented that Anita sounded extraordinarily energetic even though she had just given birth. She attributed this to her mum¡¯s advice. Her mum made her drink ginseng and honey daily in the months prior to her delivery and it gave her strength.
8. Anita got a professional to teach her how to breast-feed. When they were fumbling initially and made some mistakes, the baby cried with displeasure. He was only pacified after they had apologized. (Wah! Got character, this baby!) And when Chilam tried to make funny faces, the baby cocked his head and gave him a look as if saying, ¡°Hey, what do you think you¡¯re up to, Dad?¡±
9. As Anita¡¯s breast-feeding, the baby is extra sensitive to her voice and would look around for her whenever he hears her voice. (yeah, you do bond better if you breastfeed the baby.)
10. Anita forbids visitors to kiss her baby, she said, ¡°If you wanna kiss, kiss me instead.¡± (Haha, good suggestion. We wouldn¡¯t mind :P ) They also have to wash their hands before they could carry the baby. In fact, she herself does so too and her hands are now dry from all the frequent washing. But she doesn¡¯t allow her baby to be carried around too much for fear the baby may fall ill easily as his immunity is still weak. There were rumours that she even forbids her mother-in-law to carry the baby. She said it applied to everyone in general. (I think Anita¡¯s being paranoid here. I mean one¡¯s immunity can only strengthen after one falls ill and develop immunity.)
11. It is a belief that a woman would get pregnant easily if given the first serving of ¡°ginger vinegar¡± (one of the traditional confinement food) by someone who has just given birth. She intends to give that ¡®first serving¡¯ to her good friend, Christine Ng Wing Mei and has reminded her to come on time on that day. Anita¡¯s sister gave her that when she gave birth and she got pregnant soon after.
12. Re that saga over the HK$400 plus ¡®genius¡¯ milk powder, Anita clarified that she had actually bought the wrong type of milk powder in her haste. The one that her baby takes cost only HK$200 over. She realized pretty late that she had run out of milk powder and went out to get it herself as she doesn¡¯t trust anyone else with the job. Then, she spotted the reporter and mumbled to herself, ¡°****, I¡¯ll definitely get it from my mum.¡± (for going out of the house during ¡®confinement period.¡¯) She admitted that she had ¡®escaped¡¯ thrice during her confinement (where one is not supposed to go out) to buy milk bottles, blankets and other baby stuff. (she didn¡¯t stock up enough) And with this admission, isn¡¯t she worried that she¡¯ll get more nagging from her mother and mother-in-law? ¡°Heck! I¡¯ll just take it as ¡®singing¡¯ if they do, ¡°she said nonchalantly. In addition, Anita realized that she had gotten more anxious since becoming a mother ¨C like she would buy the wrong stuff or gets things wrong easily. Whenever she goes out, she would wrap herself up in layers of clothing and people on the street thought that she¡¯s some one who¡¯s very ill. (Well, I guess she doesn¡¯t want to be recognized nor caught a chill.)
13. They are not sure if they¡¯ll have another kid as they now realized the efforts and responsibilities involved. Besides, they travel so often and are away for long periods for work. ¡°Let¡¯s see how well we handle the first one,¡± Chilam quipped.
14. The baby still doesn¡¯t have a name. They hope to give him a ¡®happy and healthy¡¯ name. Meanwhile, Anita has nicknamed him ¡°Little Monster.¡±
15. As this is their first Christmas with the baby, it is especially memorable. Hence, they¡¯ll be getting a Christmas tree.
16. Anita hopes to bring her baby along when she¡¯s filming but it would be logistically challenging as there would be a whole entourage of people including her mum, her sister and her baby nephew. This is because her mum¡¯s helping to look after her baby nephew. Besides, bringing her baby along would attract too much attention. As it is now, if visitors happen to arrive when they are bathing the baby, everyone would want to take a look at the ¡®bathing session¡¯, like some tour group gawking at ¡®sights¡¯. ¡°Hey, you should charge them for it, man!¡± one interviewer suggested. However she would only bring her baby to big cities like Beijing or Shanghai but not to other remote parts of China. Anita would really like to bring her baby to Nepal to meet with her religious master. (er, I don¡¯t think Nepal is an appropriate place for a baby to visit, what with its high altitude, lack of oxygen and I¡¯m not sure of the hygiene conditions there as well. It¡¯s too rugged for a baby as young as that, surely? Ah, well, I guess she wants to get her baby to be blessed by him.)
17. They had recently found paparazzi pointing a long lens towards their apartment¡¯s window. (OMG! HK¡¯s paparazzi is scary. No wonder there have been pictures of stars showing them inside their own home. This is way too much!) Guess what, they fired back ¨C they mounted a camera at the balcony and pointed it back at the reporters. (Wow! Cool!) Chilam said they wouldn¡¯t be able to solve the problem even if they moved to another location unless it was one which is underground with no windows. (Sad state of affairs in HK, really!)

Con't:
18. Apparently Anita's manager had pre-arranged for their whole family to appear in a commercial but Chilam declined the offer as he does not wish to profit from his private life in such a manner. Anita's manager was also anxious for her to get back to work. When she visited her, she remarked, "Hmn, actually you don't look that bad. So, when can you start work?" Anita thought that it was too soon to do so.

Goodness all the women, except for anita, seems to be bitchy, manipulative, fierce, irritating in "Million Dollar Bride."So who do find:
1) Most Irritating
2) Silly
3) Most Hateful
Posted on Dec 29, 2006, 2:51 AM from IP address 218.186.11.3
okay I think that I hate hong xia the most because she's so dramaful!!!!! she's ALWAYS screaming. I think the most irritating is chen yu cuz she's evil. I want anita to pair up with shao hua even though he's ugly and probably cong ming second cuz he's so obsessed with her. hahahahahha. cuz shao hua/s the nicest!! howbout u guys?!?
Posted on Dec 29, 2006, 4:26 PM from IP address 24.6.47.187
Haha, none of them actually.. haha, but if I were to really choose, I guess it's cong ming, cos' he's sooo dedicated to anita. Heh, and more capable than shao hua :p
Yeah, I definitely agree. Nearly all of them are irritating, esp the ex-wife! She's filled with nonasense! haha, I love the godmum though, she's like soo cute! Haha, if only min jun's evil popo was as nice..
Posted on Dec 30, 2006, 4:27 AM from IP address 165.21.154.14
I hate Hong Xia the most cos she's juz a selfish bitch who wants to snatch someone else's husband. Sure, love is selfish but if you truly love someone, you would want the person to be happy at the end of the day and that includes leaving the person. I mean it was very clear that Shao Hua loves Min Jun (Anita's character) and the both of them are happy together. Marrying her would only cause misery to all. Hong Xia left because she didn't have a choice, now that Anita found out about what she had faked and would definitely expose her if she were to play any more tricks.I didn't feel that she was sincere towards Anita nor had she really change for the better. If she did, she should own up bravely to her mistake. I'm sure the others would forgive her especially given what she had done for them. (I mean look at how forgiving they were towards Chen Yu.)And by not doing so, the mum-in-law and Shao Hua would always feel indebted to her. Ok, even if she did, they would still be grateful to her but wouldn't feel so bad. And mum-in-law would never treat Anita as well as she would treat her. See, she's still selfish towards the end.
True, I hated Chen Yu in the begining but she redeemed herself towards the end and when she knew she was dying, she would rather leave Shao Kang. If it was the 'old' Chen Yu, she would never let another person have him even though she herself could not have him. True, Chen Yu is manipulative, scheming and cunning but why do I feel that Hong Xia and the mother-in-law are worse. I find that they're truly evil and scary. At least Chen Yu did all those things for a purpose, i.e., she wanted revenge for her miscarriage and her husband to helm the top position. (Of course that does not mean that her behaviour is excusable.) But Hong Xia only wanted Shao Hua for herself not even sparing a thought for him. He would be so miserable with him. Same for the mother-in-law, she wanted Hong Xia as daughter-in-law cos she liked her and feels taht she's useful. She doesn't spare a thought for Shao Hua. Neither does she spare a thought for Shao Kang. Common, she made her own songs divorce their wives even though they love them. Just because she couldn't get along with them and for Chen Yu she couldn't forgive her. What kind of mother is that? (Hmn, am I bias here? Is it because Chen Yu try to help Anita in the end?)
I find Lin Wei the most irritating and silly. I don't feel she loves Shao Kang at all. She just feels she 'wants something back' cos she had been 'taken advantage of' even though they were both drunk. That was why she hang on to him & carried on an affair in the beginning when she could've treated it as a one night stand and let it go. (I mean come on, this is the 21st Century not the 18th Century or something where virginity is that important to a woman.) And when they were together, she seems more interested in what he could buy her and where he could bring her out to rather than Shao Kang as a person. And in the end when he refused to marry her, she still doesn't realize her mistake. What's the point of marrying someone who loves another person?
Actually, I can't stand Anita's mother too. She was the one who made Anita go through so much hell in the first place. Got into debt, accept $1Mil (no dignity, no 'backbone') and force Anita to break up with BF to 'marry off' daughter (like selling off daughter) when she should know in-laws would not respect and accept her daughter easily given the circumstances. Then, in many instances, she behaved in irritating manner and made matters worse. (i.e., gave Anita more trouble)
I like Wang Cong Ming's mum. She has class and good taste. She doens't even look like someone from the village. (Rather Anita's mum does.) And I think she's pretty.
Luo's mother, Anita's god-mother is one cool lady. And she's smart. And she loves Anita so much. Sometimes, I fel more so than Anita's real mother.

I think Shao Hua doesn't deserve Anita either... He should deserve someone like Hong Xia :p Haha, but not in the kick-anita-out-get-hong-xia way. Yeah, lousy and immature in the way he handles stuff... Like, you mean you accept this huge proposal that your company cannot handle just because you don't like your wife?? Like huh?!! What an idioT!
And somehow, he has this habit of dragging his poor kid around to beg anita to forgive him... Evil, playing on her love for kids. Haha, oh man..
I liked Luo Jing De until the part that he was like soo concerned with Hong Xia that he ACTUALLY ASKED min jun to give up her husband for Hong Xia?! It's like, you aren't exactly bargaining for a toy here?? After that, I decided Luo was another immature idiot... That's the dumbest way to 'solve' the 'problem'! Reminds me of the dumb evil popo who has this incredibly erratic attitude towards anita.. Odd..
Posted on Dec 30, 2006, 9:36 PM from IP address 165.21.154.16
was the worst character, and yes she is such a selfish BITCH. anita is too nice to have not told everyone, but YES she should have turned herself in.
smiley, I AGREE WITH YOU, shao hua does not deserve ming jun, but then none of the other guys did either. i WOULD SAY luo MIGHT have gotten a chance, but when he told anita to give up, that's when I was like ewwww. shao hua is a man with no guts and he doesn't even know how to protect his own wife. plus he's not too good looking either.
Chen yu, I don't know, I mean she does get better in the end, but its inexcusable for what she did to anita earlier in the series. I mean, she was the one that caused anita to be kicker out. BUT ITS NOT AS BAD AS THE HONG XIA BITCH, who snatched away anita's baby and had anita go crazy. I CANNOT believe that anita forgave shao hua after he said a a couple sweet things. HAHAHA
yeah the mother does cause too much trouble. she should just say less. the dad I thought was really great though! he cared about her a lot!! and luo's mom is really grat tooo!!!! she's SOOO nice to anita!!!!
Posted on Dec 31, 2006, 1:14 PM from IP address 24.6.47.187
decision to be with Anita and wouldn't even consider Hong Xia for a second, I still don't feel he deserved Anita. Yeh, he's a nice guy but too dumb. And I don't feel he's capable at all. I mean what has he done to rebuild the business? And how did he manage the company in the beginning? And look at how he handles Hong Xia's case? Couldn't he have insisted that she gets her ear treated? I mean think of a way to get her to go if she refuses or drugged her or something. How could anyone possibly let her carry on like that? Let her condition deteriorate or remain status quo? Goodness! He's too wishy-washy. Can't make firm decisions.
Wang Cong Ming is the most capable, passionate and daring. He loves Anita the most but half way through got consumed by hatred and selfishness. Don't seem to me he got his anger and frustration out of his system in the end.True, he's not magnimimous but how many people are?
Why do I feel that Luo Jing De is not bad too? I'm only disappointed that he wasn't smart enough to discover the true face of Hong Xia. I was hoping he would uncover the truth and give her a sound scolding and then somehow get together. They're compatible in a way. But back to Anita, it would be the most practical choice to marry him as his mum loves her so much and he is a capable guy. And he takes charge when he needs to.
But then, maybe Shao Hua's dad was right. He chose Anita cos he knows Shao Hua needs a wife like Anita.Actually, his sons all need strong women cos their mum is such a dominating woman. They're used to women taking charge of their lives. Haha.
Posted on Dec 30, 2006, 2:05 PM from IP address 218.186.10.11
Haha, maybe I'm odd,but I kinda like chen yu after the whole show. She feels a little more real than the other characters... like trying to redeem herself after all her evil deeds. And who would wanna go home after doing so many shameful deeds?
Hong Xia is completely fictionous...like who the HELL in this century acts like that?? Like going through that whole 'acting' saga just to get her hubby back?? Huh?! @_@ Isn't she like some super rich career woman who is from the States? Like.. there would be TONS of guys 100 times better than shao hua who would just FALL AT HER FEET! Need she go back to shao hua? Besides, the guy's married, for god's sake, to a gal who is a million times better than hong xia.
Yeah, definitely agree. Lin Wei's another odd gal, very spoilt... somehow, without her real parents around... Anita's mum is supposedly the typical 'village woman.' $$ is like her life or sth... @_@
I think most characters in the show are like really HIGHLY unrealistic.. even Anita's character. Who the hell is SOOooo magnaminous today?? Especially some tai-tai (ie. rich wife)? HAha, love anita though! V pretty as min jun.. Wish they dressed her slightly better though... Haha, she has like 2 hairstyles and the same style of dressing.. some blouse with a jacket over and a skirt? Haha, maybe they should have shown her accompanying her hubby to company functions, would be cool :p
I kinda like cong ming too, he's probably the only realistic character in the show. So nice and vengeful at the same time. Think the only unrealistic part about him was his obsession with someone's wife... Haha, but it was nice that he was soo crazy over min jun :p
Posted on Dec 30, 2006, 9:27 PM from IP address 165.21.154.13
ALLL of the characters were unrealistic. I mean I GUESSS there are some people like anita now but she's wayyy tooo nice man. and shao hua again was just an idiot or douchbag.
hong xia was still the largest idiot of all. and yes shao hua should have FORCED her to get treatment. what a dumbo.
I think anita shoul have flirted with the other guys a little more and instill fear into shao hua. he's such an idiot, he doesn't even know what he has. cong ming, I don't know.
In the end I was starting to LIKE chen yu but then when I think about the beginning i'm like.... ehhhhh.....
I like shao hua's sister. if she was around, anita wouldn't have been so misunderstood!!
Posted on Dec 31, 2006, 1:21 PM from IP address 24.6.47.187
some exclusive area which is probably not accessible by public transport. It's always so weird to see Min Jun and Chen Yu walking home. I'm sure they've more than one car in the house and there's a chauffer. Or can't they take a cab then? It seems only the guys drive in the show...goodness! (Chauvinism or what?) Yeah, the director may wanna cut cost but it's just too unrealistic.
And for a house as huge as that...well, it's more like a mansion and when they are in the garden, there seemed to be 2 houses in the background (well, I'm not surprised.); there's only 1 maid?! Uh! You'll need at least 3 maids & a gardener for a house as large as that. No way is that "Zhang Sao" (the elderly maid's name) going to survive cleaning that house, man. I mean if the director is trying to save money by not having so many 'unnecessary' actors, then at least just make a mention of the other domestic helpers. (Don't have to show them.) Anita sometimes seemed more like a maid to me. I mean there's nothing wrong with helping to cook and all that, it's just the way it's being done I guess. And does she need to personally send food up to others? As the eldest daughter-in-law, she should be supervising a team of domestic helper in the household - I mean that's the proper way to help run a huge household.
And how come Luo's living room seemed to look different towards the 2nd half of the show? And it's most annonying to see the words, "Stephanie's Gymnasium", engraved on the sliding glass doors of supposedly Luo's house. Can't they digitally removed it after that if that's the only place they could borrow for filming? OK, I know this sounds like nit-picking but filming a show is about details even if it's just a 'chop-chop' kind of tv series.

Haha, oh man! I was wondering about the smae thing too! Haha, WHY was Anita acting like a maid?? We don't even see Chen Yu or Hong Xia mopping the house AT ALL.. Haha, yeah! I was imagining min jun ordering a WHOLE HOST of maids/servants around. That would be tons better!
Haha, yeah, maybe Chen Yu could have driven. She's suppose to be some rich spoilt pampered girl.. Maybe her Dad would have bought her a car or sth when she was a young girl.

Speaking of her clothing...i can't believe she wore
by Delfin
that dress to Shao KAng's wedding...that's too casual even for a day event. I mean we're talking abt a rich and rather prominent family here. Hello! She should have worn a cocktail dress or at least shift dress. Ya, what's wrong with the stylist? Thru'out the entire show, Anita wears almost the same style of clothes, just in different colours. I mean I know she's supposed to be sweet, nice, gentle, etc. but that doesn't mean she could only dress like that! At least putting her in some sweet, flowery 1 -piece dress in pastel shade would be nice. Or some sundress too. Or least dress her up for Shao Kang's wedding, goodness!
Come to think of it the mother-in-law is pretty well dress. I mean it suits her stature and she looks OK in them. Except taht she's so eveil, no pretty clothes could make her look nice, in every sense of the word.
Chen Yu looks fat in all her clothes. Is is because she's fat or the clothes?
her style, I mean it makes her look very sweet but yeah I agree!! I mean chen yu wore something nice on the night of anita's wedding!!!!! yeah she SHOULD have worn atleast a nice cocktail dress or sundress... I think chen yu is just a little chubbier cuz yeah, all of her clothing made her look fat. I THINK its cuz she's a bit chubby AND her clothes were too tight!!!!! like it didn't seem like she could button up the outfits.!
Posted on Jan 3, 2007, 4:51 PM from IP address 24.6.47.187
started to like Chen Yu too. Actually she's pretty shrewd and if she got rid of her evil ways and just retain her shrewdness, it'll be wonderful! In reality, you need to be 'smarter' like Chen Yu (minus the evil ways) to be able to survive in such a 'political' family or you'll be eaten alive, man! Hey, just stating the facts here.
Posted on Jan 3, 2007, 9:18 AM from IP address 218.186.10.12
he is so useless. he did absolutely nothing and was so clueless in te entire movie. shao kang was an idiot too. okay basically they were all idiots. but ESPECIALLY shao hua.
luo WOULD make the most practical husband, but for some reason i didn't feel that his sppearance matched anita. but I don't really thinka ny of them matched anita.
cong ming is so annoying. i LIKED him in the beginning but later one he started to get scary!! but then the ending of the series sucked cuz i mean cong ming just gave up completely?? like there was no ending to that!
Posted on Dec 31, 2006, 1:17 PM from IP address 24.6.47.187
R they planning a sequel to this series? cos there
by Delfin
are so many unresolved issues at the end. You call that an ending? How come Wang Cong Ming gave up on being the General Manager of the company so easily? Just because Min Jun talked to him? But as that wasn't shown, it wasn't clear if he was totally convinced. We're also not sure if he really acknowledged his father in the end. One is left with the feeling that he is still an angry and frustated man. Moreover, he still feels that his mum is short-changed and he's riled about it. Honestly, he should be the GM as he's the only capable one. Shao Hua has shown himself to be incapable time and again. (Sorry, Shao Hua, it's purely a business decision; nothing personal. Haha:P )
And that mother-in-law had a sudden change of heart and embraced Cong Ming's mother aka 'the other woman'? That's fast! But I'm not convinced. ^o^ Tho' I like Cong Ming's mum but sometimes she's too nice. She should have told that evil mother-in-law that she's actually the 3rd party cos she was with Guang Yao first and they were truly in love. Guang Yao was only forced to marry that mother-in-law. I mean the mother-in-law was really unreasonable in the beginning and she didn't care if what happened was before they got married. If there's a sequel, I hope the mother-in-law would die of heart attack and the dad gets to be with Cong Ming's mum again. Haha, evil thought :P
And why didn't Hong Xia clear Chen Yu's name before she left? I mean she doesn't have to admit that she framed her but she could've said something like she had misplaced the money and found it while packing. Given her 'abilities', I'm sure she could pull it off convincingly. So, at least the mother-in-law knows. (Ok, I mean she'll still hate Chen Yu but it's not fair to leave it like that and she'll dislike Anita even more for the foiled wedding between Shao Kang and Lin Wei.Look at the flap she got.) Instead, all Hong Xia said was "Oh, tell Chen Yu I've wronged her and would make it up to her when I get a chance." (Your chance is now, gal!) And that's only in front of Luo and Shao Hua and Min Jun.
Seems that the mother-in-law still dislikes Min Jun in the end cos she associate all troubles and negative stuff with her. And that she had done nothing to help the family. Plus she keeps siding with the 'wrong people' e.g., Cong Ming's mum and now Chen Yu. But fret not, I guess cos she's someone who trims her sail and 'sway with the wind.' , as long as Min Jun grabs the chance to do something for the family in the near future or give birth to a grand son, she'll get her chance. And she just needs to learn how to deal with her mum-in-law. Being nice and playing it straight doesn't work with her. Take a leaf from Hong Xia (minus the evil ways of course). Haha.
Yeah, I was disappointed with Luo in the end too. I couldn't believe he actually propose that Min Jun gave up her husband to hong Xia. Even if he likes Min Jun, that's not the way, dude! And I thought he could uncover hong Xia's ploy. Or at least talk to Hong Xia and convince her to give Shao Hua up instead.
Min Jun's god-mum (Luo's mother) was also a little disappointing in the end. I thought she would think of a clever way to uncover what hong Xia faked in front of everyone else. I mean confronting her is the dumbest thing to do. It'll only drive her to 'play her last card', (threatheing suicide) - which she did.
And I had actually thought hong Xia planned the 'attack' on her head. Cos if it was a genuine 'accident', then with those blows on her head, how could she had gotten away without a head conconcussion? Of course Shao Hua is a fool to have confronted those ruffians when he himself could not fight them. I mean couldn't he ahve called the building's security guards after calling the police?
And Chen Yu's dad seemed to be happily on the run and not being nabbed by the police? After appearing in public places for so many times? Yeah, he wore shades but not much of a disguise, really.Either the cops are terribly inefficient or....
And Chen Yu is still alive after escaping from her surgery? Ah? I thought it was so critical that she would die any minute if she wasn't operated on? Incredible!
The only good thing abt the ending is that at least it showed taht Min Jun was pretty firm in her decision not to give up her husband. And I thought it was rather 'clever' of her, how she put it such that Hong Xia had no choice but to leave and at the same time not exposing her.
God, I can't believe I went through so much trouble to watch this show. It it's not for anita, I'll never watch such a show.
But you know what, the only saving grace is Anita as Min Jun. Anita did a great job here. She's so convincing and natural that sometimes I forgot it's Anita playing Min Jun. It's so unlike her real self I mean. (Much better than when she played Su Fen in River Flowing East.) And she's so pretty in there. Well, I guess the show's a big hit in China mainly cos the characters are so unrealistic, esp Min Jun's super nice character. Ironic as it may sound, but true. This is cos no one's like that in real life or no one's actually nice in real life anymore. So, sometimes people just wanna suspend their disbelief and indulged in 'fantasy' for a while. Apparently, it even spawned a 'clone' not long after that and the producer of Million Dollar Bride is gonna sue them(another drama which had copied the plot fr Million Dollar). Haha, so drama.
But if there's really a sequel, given the producers' 'style', I bet it'll be something silly like Hong Xia had an illegitimate child with Shao Hua and she's back for her 'rights. Don't ask me how it happened. They'll spin something incredible like they 'did it' when he had to spend the night accompanying her due to her emotional instability. And Shao Hua didn't have the guts to tell Min Jun of course or anyone else for that matter. And amazingly, Hong Xia didn't use this fact to push Shao Hua to marry her. Reluctantly, Min Jun had to let Shao Hua remarry Hong Xia but she didn't divorce him. Predictably, Cong Ming would go after her again and Luo too. Haha, I wouldn't be surprised if this kind of plot shows up in the sequel, should there be one.

Next Magazine on Protege
Recently in the movie industry, there's a sudden trend of Golden Horse Film Awards' Best Actors taking up negative roles, after Golden Horse Film Award's Best Actor Aaron Kwok gambling father in After This Our Exile, Tony Leung Chiu Wai's devil cop whom murder his own grandfather in Confession of Pain, Andy Lau puts away his healthy heavenly king image to get a taste of an evil character.
Produced by Peter Chan, written and directed by Derek Yee, Andy will become a drug lord in the Lunar New Year blockbuster - Protege, to accomodate the role, he dyed his hair grey to go away with his handsome looks to become an uncle to do evil things. Under the guidance of director Derek, he acted out a realistic process of drugs manufacturing. If one is not doing, one should be doing it realistic, he said: "If the audience hate my character, this proves that I'm successful."
Other than being a drug lord in the movie, he's also an experience drug manufacturer, in normal days, he's the boss of an electronic goods store. As the story narrate him suffering from inherited diabetes, despite less than 50 years old, his hair is greyed. To look the role, the fit Andy specially eat high fats food, stop exercising for his muscles to sag, during a scene when he row up his sleeves to inject diabetes medicine, he didn't reveal any muscles to make it realistic.
With regards to become an uncle and an evil character, Andy doesn't mind as he like challenges. He was told by the director that among the 60 billion population, close to 20 billion people is addicted to drugs, it's like 1 person among every 30 person is taking drugs. Andy was shocked when told, he said: "If one day people like Andy Lau could become a drug lord, try thinking what this world will be turned to? I took up this character, if people hate me, that means I'm successful."
As he's supposed to be a drug manufacturer expert, of course Andy need to demo it in the movie. On the day of shooting, although without any professional guidance but director Derek whom had done several research was expert in the process as he taught Andy and the others the process of manufacturing drugs. Although it's just props and flour, but need to tag them as several scientific names and linking them up, even though how good on memorizing script, Andy is suffering headaches by remembering the names.
Opium is produced by "milking" latex from the unripe fruits ("seed pods") of a poppy rather than from the seeds as all parts of the plant can contain or carry the opium alkaloids, especially morphine and codeine. With some chemical need to be added, poisonous gases can be created, thus when Andy is manufacturing the drug, he need to wear a mask. All the process looked very realistic.
Director Derek spent three years in research for the movie, he also personally went to interview those whom are active in the drugs circle, therefore the drug manufacturing process and take drug procedure and response, ways of selling drugs are shot as real as possible. As drug is a sensitive topic, with all the realistic scenes, it's an headache for Derek during post-production as he want to have a balance of both sides, the movie does not need to be classified as Category III movie, anyway the movie should be a family movie during the Lunar New Year. "I've tried my best during shooting as I want to shoot the real ill-effects of drugs for everyone to understand," Derek said.
Undercover cop Ah Lek (Daniel Wu) was a gangster and transform to a drug dealer, spent 8 years to win the trust of drug lord Brother Kun (Andy Lau) and become his best sidekick. On one side, Ah Lek was searching and gathering the drug organization information and methods of manufacturing drugs, on the other side selling drugs. The movie had location shooting in Thailand, using realistic ways to bring the message of drug's ill-effects.

Andy and Daniel exposed the world of drugs
Protege, a collaborative efforts by two Hong Kong Film Awards' Best Directors in Peter Chan and Derek Yee for 2007's Lunar New Year, it will bring all into the world of drugs as it revealed the truth about drugs. It took 3 years for director Derek to prepare for the movie, the preparation includes long time spent on researching, getting in contact with those whom were taking drugs or active in the drug circle, therefore this movie will be very realistic! The realistic and shocking trailer and poster chose to be released during the Christmas holidays.
The movie has a cast of Andy Lau, Daniel Wu, Louis Koo, Anita Yuen and Zhang Jing Chu. In the movie, Andy is the secretive drug lord Brother Kun whom thought of retiring as he slowly reveal his business secret in order to nurture Daniel as his successor.....
The cast threw away their idol images to get involved with drugs in the movie, every artistes did their own research as no wonder director Derek could exclaim: "Protege is a movie with "no stars, only actors" production!"
Protege will be the main choice of movie to watch during the Lunar New Year as it's fixed that it would be screened on the 1900 hrs and 2100 hrs time slot on 13 Feb 2007, it would open in cinemas on Valentines' Day 14 Feb 2007 in Hong Kong, Mainland China major cities, Taiwan and Singapore in order to usher the Lunar New Year.

Wow! "Million Dollar Bride" is 2006's top TV series with an average ratings of 13.7%. Most of the highly rated series are tragedies, it seems. Perhpas sad shows are more touching.

Wow...finally got to watch this latest drama dvd and it's really, really good! I was glued to my tv last Sunday watching the first 18 episodes and tonight after work I'm going to continue the rest. Anita's best role in recent years no doubt! Anita really carried her role well and it's so different from her previous roles throughout her acting careers (the closest similar role is her role in "River flow east"). Her best role in tv dramas so far in my humble opinion after Mulan.
BTW, her baby has turned 1 month old last week and I really hope to see his picture....

The drama does get a bit irritating here and there with so many "illogical" scenes...where on earth can someone find such a filial dedicated daughter in-law in the modern world nowadays? But it's definitely a challenging role for Anita in throughout her acting career...

she's pretty natural & convincing in this role....
by Delfin
in fact, more so than when she was in River Flowing East, where she played a similar role. Perhaps she was under a lot of pressure then, esp when she had to deliver her lines in Mandarin & act opposite a veteran like Chen Daoming. In the end, they decided to dubbed her voice. Duh @_@ I remember meeting her on the set then. She was really thin...poor thing.

Nothing much, really. Chilam was spotted driving his Ferrari to buy flowers and fruits at a stall. He parked his Ferrari at the roadside at Happy Valley, went into a fruit stall and bought some longan. Then, he realized that he didn¡¯t have any money with him. So, he went to withdraw money from an ATM machine. Next, he visited a florist and bought 2 bouquets of yellow Horse Hoof Orchid (Gosh! This sounds weird, I¡¯m not sure if it¡¯s right. Sori, I don¡¯t know much about flowers and that¡¯s what the online dictionary says.) and a bouquet of other flower to match. (Wow! Is that for Anita?) When he saw the reporters, he gave a little smile. Though his hair was in a mess and he looked tired, but it was obvious that he was beaming with joy. (of being a new father)

Anita sounds lively and energetic ¨C looks like she has recovered well even though she had a Caesarean birth. Anita said it was tough looking after the baby on her own without the nurse¡¯s help. And initially, Chilam would bolt at the sight of the baby¡¯s ****. (haha)
Anita personally changes her baby¡¯s diapers, washing and feeding him. ¡°Haha, I¡¯m doing a maid¡¯s job!¡± And her wound (fr Caesarean operation) doesn¡¯t hurt anymore. So her manager wondered if she could go back to work after her ¡®confinement period¡¯. She thought it was a bit too soon as she has yet to slim down. (even thought it was for a commercial and doesn¡¯t take up a lot of time) She wouldn¡¯t return to filming within these few months and would concentrate on caring for her baby.
Anita currently shares the same room with her baby. He was asleep after his feed, during the phone interview. Anita was beaming, looking at her newborn, who was fast asleep, ¡°He looks like a frog, with his toes all spread open. Maybe he thinks that he¡¯s still swimming in my stomach. He recognizes both our voices. Once, when Chilam made funny faces to make him laugh, he cocked his head and looked at Chilam with an expression that says, ¡®Hey, what are you up to, Dad?¡¯ Another time, we were bumbling our way around, learning how to feed him and he made some weird sound to show that he was displeased. He only smiled after we apologize to him. It¡¯s so interesting.¡±
They would be releasing a photo of Chilam and the baby to the media soon, but without Anita. She refused to be photographed until she has regained her looks. ¡°I¡¯m so bloated now, I look like Princess Fiona! (of ¡°Shrek¡±). Let me regain my looks before I meet everyone.¡± (Cains, you¡¯re spot on, even Anita herself thinks that she looks like Princess Fiona. Haha!) The baby still doesn¡¯t have a name yet. So she calls him, ¡°Little Mr Cheung.¡± (Haha! So cute!)
And this tiny tot is truly precious, not only has she bought lots of sterilizing solutions and toilet paper, Anita also requires anyone who wishes to carry the baby to wash their hands first. ¡°My parents say I¡¯m being too harsh but I don¡¯t have a choice as there¡¯re so many bacteria out there. Anyone who goes near the baby also has to wash his/her hands. And they can¡¯t kiss the baby either. If they want to kiss anyone, they could kiss me instead!¡± (Haha! Anita is really funny! I suppose many would like to take up that offer to kiss her, right? Hee! Hee!)

It's from jaynestars , I don't know if it the same with the news you reported above
Since giving birth last week, Anita Yuen Wing Yee has secretly checked out of the hospital, escaping the paparazzi’s notice.
Anita mentioned that the media had incorrectly reported the hospital she had stayed at all along. Thanks to the doctors’ and nurses’ cooperation, Anita refused all flower deliveries during her stay at the hospital. Also, all visitors had to supply the correct password before they were allowed to see Anita.
It has been 3 days since Anita checked out of the hospital. Although they have hired a nanny to help out with the new baby, Anita has been feeding and changing the baby’s diapers herself.
Adding to their difficulties is the fact that the baby does not drink milk at a regular time. Luckily, husband Chilam Cheung has been helping out with all tasks.
At first, whenever Chilam heard the words “diaper change,” he would immediately step away. However after witnessing Anita successfully changing a diaper once and trying it out himself, Chilam has been comfortable performing the task.
Anita feels that she and Chilam need to calm down when the baby cries. Sometimes the baby will cry for no reason, but she will become extremely anxious and can not reason logically about the baby’s needs. Although Chilam appears to be outwardly calm, he is just as worried inside and can not think clearly.
However, when Anita’s nanny returned from vacation, they realized the reason for the baby’s crying was very simple. However Chilam and Anita had spent over half-a-day worrying for no reason.
The baby still does not have a name yet, but Anita prefers to call him “Little Mr. Cheung.” Anita explained, “Normally I call Chilam ‘Mr. Cheung,’ so that is why our baby is ‘Little Mr. Cheung’ or ‘Little Brother.’”
As to whether a baby banquet will be held one month later, it will be dependent upon the baby’s grandparents when they return from overseas.
Anita also spoke about the myth that a woman would become pregnant if she drinks the ginger vinegar distributed by a new mother within 20 days of birth. When Anita’s sister had a baby earlier in the year, Anita had drank the ginger vinegar and she soon became pregnant herself!
Anita wants to offer the first honorary bowl of ginger vinegar to her good friend, Christine Ng Wing Mei. Anita said that the occasion is more important than the actual birth of her own baby and has instructed Christine not to be late when it is time for her to drink the ginger vinegar!

aww I miss everyone!!! I was reading news on anita, i think we already posted in here already. anita's million brides is SOOOO popular in china!! the director was like she wanted us to make this daughter in law type role for her and RIGHT when she gets famous, she runs off and has a child. haha
u know the lady that has to slap her in the movie, she played an evil rold in the movie and so there was this HUGE poster on the building with her and a lot of people walked by and drew Xs or ripped the poster!!!! that was kind of mean!!! she was only mean to anita in the movie!!!
EVERYONE... does anyone have bittorrent? or bitcomet!?!? u can download all of anita's movies!!!!!
Posted on Nov 20, 2006, 4:22 AM from IP address 24.6.47.187
China but I didn't know abt the poster part tho'...haha! No wonder the actress who acted as the mean sis-in-law said she had to get insurance and was prepared for backlash.
Yeh! That's what I thought too..just when she's hit it big in China, she went off to have a child and wld probably be gone for a year but she's v.much in the limelight, tho'...haha..but she's got to do what she has to do, i guess..having a child can't wait any longer for her & she's so happy. That's what's important, i guess.
I'm trying to watch it now but i'm swamped with a thousand & one things..think i'll never finish it. But I hate such family soap opera. It's so melodramatic that it's almost laughable. She's v.pretty & gentle in there

by Cains
Well, I'm sure Ming Pao will conduct an exclusive interview with Chi Lam and Anita as their cover story maybe after the baby's "full moon". Keep an eye on http://www.mingpaoweekly.com
BTW, Chi Lam will be putting up photos of their baby soon on the website...probably his Sina blog. Aaron Kwok said he went to visit the baby at the hospital and the baby is so cute...I can't wait to see the baby too! Very curious..
Chilam Cheung Admits Marriage with Anita Yuen! Baby Has Daddy's Dimples!
In an interview with Cha Siu Yan yesterday, Chilam Cheung revealed that he and Anita Yuen Wing Yee got married several years ago! They received their marriage certificate outside of Hong Kong, but kept the matter low-profile.
Baby Has Daddy's Dimples!
Chilam and Anita's son was born on November 12th. The baby's nose resembles Anita, while he inherited daddy Chilam's dimples! The best feature of the baby are his beautiful hands. Chilam and Anita plan to enroll their son in piano lessons, but do not want the baby to enter the entertainment industry due to its high-level stress.
Anita continued excitedly, "The baby's arms and legs are very long! Before giving birth, I was very scared, but it turns out the C-section was very comfortable and sped up the delivery process!"
New mother Anita is feeling fine after giving birth to their son. Anita is busy learning child-care tips, "I heard that breastfeeding is healthier for the baby, so I am trying to breastfeed the baby. The baby has been very well-behaved. After drinking milk, he will just fall asleep. I cherish the moments when I hold my son in my arms!"
Baby Sprayed at Doctor
Anita felt labor movements while in their apartment. Since their building was watched closely by the paparazzi, Chilam first drove Anita to their friends' apartment and then borrowed their friends' car to drive to the hospital, successfully dodging the media.
Chilam remained by Anita's bedside at the hospital. He took his video camera along and recorded the process. Anita was very tense and wanted to cry. To reduce everyone's stress, Chilam was very chatty with the anesthesiologist. When the baby was born, he sprayed urine at the doctor. The doctor joked that the little baby had "good manners" since he offered his "tea" to the doctor.
Did Chilam decide on a name for the baby yet? Chilam joked that they could name the baby "Tin Sing" (aka Sky Star “V¯), "Yat Sen" or "Suk Ping" f•½ since (since Sun Yat Sen and Cheung Suk Ping share the same birthday as their son on November 12th). To commemorate the birth of their son, Chilam and Anita bought a new car.
Will the baby's photo be released to the press? Anita said, "The baby is still a newborn and looks like a piece of 'dough' now. Let's wait a few days after we dress him up first!"
Married Several Years Ago
Chilam confirmed his marriage, "Anita and I got married a long time ago. We didn't reveal it earlier because it was our personal matter. It is very reasonable to first get married and then have a baby. Due to the birth of our baby, we wanted to let everyone know that we did everything in accordance and our son was born to parents who are wed to each other. As for additional details, we would like to reserve some privacy."
Anita is still not accustomed to people calling her Mrs. Cheung. Formalities remain unimportant for her. "Chilam and I got married on a plane. We exchanged wedding rings several thousand feet above the ground." Chilam chipped in, "Isn't that very romantic?"
Anita continued, "Holding wedding formalities such as a ceremony and banquet are unimportant to us. Chilam and I do not believe in such formalities and prefer to [get married] in a more casual environment."
"Wyman Wong once wrote a song entitled, 'My Fiance' for Chilam and the lyrics reflected my inner thoughts precisely. As long as two people sincerely love each other, despite whatever circumstances they got married under, they can enjoy lifelong happiness. I feel that is enough. Whether I admit to getting married or not is unimportant, as long as in my heart, I feel we did the proper thing. Whether I am Mrs. Cheung or not, I still feel joyous!"
Inside Scoop from the Sun:
According to the Sun newspaper, Chilam and Anita may have gotten married in Macau in 2001!

Also on the topic of marriage,in the Straits Times
by Delfin
It was reported in the Straits Times yesterday, 15 November that both Chilam and Anita got married "a long time ago." Here's the short news flash:
The Straits Times, ST Life section, back page, Pg 10, under "Buzzing", 15 November 2006:
MARRIED: Actor Julian Cheung said he and actress Anita Yuen, who has just given birth to their son, had married overseas "a long time ago". Yuen said they exchanged rings on a plane after the wedding.

I’ll just the do the parts that’ve not been mentioned before….
Anita said Chilam only recorded the part where the baby was born. It seems Chilam was a like a little kid begging for candy, asking if he could carry the baby. When asked who the baby resembles, Anita said, “He’s still so young, can’t tell at this point in time. I’m happy as long as the baby is healthy.
Apparently, Chilam’s son shares the same birthday with the Father of Modern China, Dr Sun Yat-sen. When asked if he wish his son to be someone great like Dr Sun, Chilam said, “That’s a tough question. It’ll seem too much to say, “Yes†but yet strange to say ‘No.†So it’s best to let nature take its course.†In an interview with a cable TV in HK, Chilam said he has a few names in mind but has not decided on one yet. He joked, “Perhaps I’ll name him ‘No.6’. Haha!†(The interviewer, Lu Hao Ming’s nickname is ‘No.6’.) The interviewer replied, “Since he’s born on the 12th, let’s call him, Zhang Shi Er.†(‘Shi Er’ is ‘12’ in Chinese.) Chilam played along and said, “Ya, ‘Shi Er Shao’. (meaning ‘Young Master No.12’) He added that it’ll be perfect if they have a daughter next. He said Anita was full of maternal love and gentleness when she’s taking care of the baby. “Except that she’s not looking at me!†he chuckled. Chilam felt that by becoming a father, he has grown up a lot and felt great responsibility on his shoulders. He would work hard to earn “milk-powder moneyâ€. He hopes to be able to bring up his kid well.
So will they marry now that they have a baby? He said, “Anita’s still my girlfriend, not my wife yet. I’m just helping her take care of some work-related matters.†(Yeh, another conflicting reports re their marital status.)
The Matilda Hospital at the Peak, where Anita delivered the baby is a well known hospital for the rich and famous. It looks like a hotel and has different charges for everything. It’s estimated that a 3 night’s stay would cost a minimum of HK$40,000-50,000.

In an interview with TVB, the day before, Chilam revealed that he weighed the same as his baby when he himself was born. (Haha! Wat a coincidence;) )
It was his first TV interview. They were very excited when they finally got to see their baby as he has been in his mother’s womb for close to 10 months. “I can’t tell whom he resembles more. I mean he’s only a few days’ old – he’s practically like a piece of dough. Perhaps it’ll be clearer by next week.â€
“I’ve thought of many funny names for the baby in the past. I’ll think of a proper one of course but I’ll take my time to decide.â€
“Anita was very excited when she first saw her baby and she looks at him with such gentleness. I’ve never seen her so gentle before.†Although she had a Caesarean birth, she is recovering well and is able to get off the bed by now.
Chilam clarified that it was a misunderstanding that he wanted another baby girl soon. “Perhaps I was too excited and nervous at the time of reply. Hey, I still need to get used to the first one, man!â€
As the baby has long and slender fingers, he hopes that he’ll play the piano when he grows up. When the interviewer wanted to call up Anita for a short tele-interview, Chilam politely declined with the excuse that she was already asleep.

Well according to the press early last week, Chi Lam revealed that it's going to be a baby girl according to the doctor but what a big surprise that Anita actually delivered a baby boy instead through caesarian!! So now, they'll have to buy new clothes, etc again for the baby...Further, a very funny incident, when the doctor brought out the baby from Anita's womb, the first thing he did, other than cried his heart out, was "serving tea" to the doctor! Also, according to Chi Lam, they got married way back in 2001...btw, Anita's enjoying milking her baby...
Chilam has recorded the whole delivery process on video. Anita’s eyes’ welled up when she heard her baby’s first cry but she didn’t cry in the end. Chilam diverted her attention by talking to the anaesthetist and the doctor.
Asked if he had given the baby any English names, he said, “I did before, but I’ve forgotten now.†He admitted that they’ve registered their marriage secretly in 2001 in Australia.†(Canada? USA? HK? Nope!)
The first thing the baby did when he came into this world was to “serve tea†to the doctor. (Haha! This is so funny.) (Note: This is the Chinese way of saying that a baby has urinated on someone.)
Chilam took pains to avoid the paparazzi. They first went to a friend’s house and then switch to another car before proceeding to the hospital. He hopes his son would not enter showbiz and keeps a low profile.
Anita says she enjoys nursing her son. “He’s such a good boy. After having his milk, he’ll sleep soundly. And then, he’ll wake up again for another feeding. No, breast-feeding isn’t difficult at all.â€
When asked for a picture of their family of three, she said, “He still has wrinkles all over. Let me dress him up in a few days time and we’ll see.â€

Anita had put on 15kg by the time she delivered. (Looks like the reported expected delivery date of end Nov/Early Dec was just a smokescreen to divert the paparazzi’s attention.)
The baby cried very loudly when he was delivered. He has very fair complexion and long limbs. Anita said he looks just like a male model. (Haha, looks like Chilam Junior takes after his parents’good looks )
Apparently, both of them couldn’t get enough of carrying their baby. In the end, the nurse had to ask them to place the baby down. (Heehee! Just like how proud parents are. ^_^)

No idea where this is originally from~{!-~}got it via Mariska~{!-~}
This is about the fake photo.
Anita was mad that HK~{!/~}s media had digitally created a fake photo of her baby, ~{!0~}Hey, it~{!/~}s too ugly. My baby doesn~{!/~}t look like that! He~{!/~}s very cute. Why do you guys want to create a fake one? I could take the baby~{!/~}s photo in a few days time.~{!1~} Apparently many HK papers have printed that picture. They ~{!.~}keyed~{!/~} in both Chilam~{!/~}s and Anita~{!/~}s pics into a special machine to get the ~{!.~}baby~{!/!/~}s look. And then merged all 3 photos into one. In the photo, Anita could already sit up and carry her baby~{!-~}.Amazing!
Actually that photo looks pretty cute but Anita was not pleased at all and had requested that the media stop using it. In a radio interview on 13 November, Chilam revealed that Anita was breast-feeding and that ~{!0~}The baby~{!/~}s just like a piece of dough. He~{!/~}s so soft that you wouldn~{!/~}t dare to carry him!~{!1~} He also let on that they had secretly registered their marriage in Australia in 2001. And that he was very nervous during the whole delivery process, so he kept talking to the anaesthetician, the doctor and Anita.

Really happy to hear the news...so it's baby boy as expected! I was expecting her to deliver a 10lbs baby boy looking at her "big" stomach! Anyway, so glad that both mother and baby are doing fine. Now I can't wait to see the baby's face as well....

I'm still at a loss for words. It's just so sudden, I didn't expect it to be that early. I'm so happy for both of them. Anita's dream of being a mother finally came true :D

Hi, this is so so so happy!!! Or ecstatic more like it :P
Just read from the news today that Anita just gave birth to a baby boy, healthy and weighing 8 pounds yesterday (the 12th). Anita described her son as having a model's body with long arms and legs, but looks like a piece of dough to her :P

According to what I've just read in the above 2 papers, apparently Anita picked an auspicious date to give birth. Hence, the early delivery. She gave birth to a baby boy weighing 3.6kg (8 pounds) on the morning of 12 Nov., at a private hospital at The Peak. She delivered via Ceaserean section. Chilam was with her in the delivery room.
Both Anita & Chilam were excited to be first-time parents. When Anita woke up and carried her baby for the first time, she was so happy that she was in tears.
Chilam wished to have another baby girl. Girls are supposed to be closer to fathers. Anita chuckled, "Let nature take its course." She quipped, "Hey, I've just given birth to one! Let's talk about a second baby later."
Anita would stop work for a while to care for her newborn baby. "I hope to take care of him by myself for the first year as my mind would not be at ease if someone else were to take care of him." (Oh, my, I hope she wouldn't stop work for that long, pls.)
Anita consulted the Tibetan abbot, "Ningbo Che" on an auspicious delivery date. According to a HK fortune teller, this baby is born under an auspicious star and will be well-loved by his parents, marry a good wife when he grows up and able to enlist the help of others. As he's of the Wood element, he should choose names such as "Jia Hao" or "Jia Hua" to complement his nature. He would excel in his studies, most likely graduating from university. He would do especially well in medical studies.

Ok, this is more for the records since we already know most of the stuff by now but I was rather surprised at the report of their marriage tho' there has been rumours of it before but to see it being confirmed is another. Besides there seemed to be conflicting reports on this matter from different sources. Up till today, some media reports still say that they're not married yet and reporters were still questioning them abt it. And in this ST report, it states that they registered their marriage secretly in Las Vegas, whereas the Chinese report said Australia. Ah, well, anyway. I don't think that's important by now.

Hong Kong - Actress Anita Yuen has given birth to a boy, her first child with her actor husband Julian Cheung.
The 3.6kg baby was due at the end of this month, said Hong Kong reports. But Yuen, a devout Tibetan Buddhist, chose to have a caesarean birth on Sunday, an auspicious date she asked a holy man to help her pick.
Speaking to Apple Daily soon after she gave birth, she said she planned to take a few months off to look after the baby. "In the first year, it's best to take care of the son myself. I'd be worried if I left him in other people's care."
Yuen, 35, a former Miss Hong Kong and star of such movies as "He's a Woman, She's A Man (1994), has been with Cheung, also 35, for 14 years.
In May, when her baby bump was showing, she reportedly revealed that she had been married for five years. They had a registry wedding in Las Vegas, she said.

Anita's looking so cute....no offence but a lot of my friends actually compared her to that cute big Princess Fiona of Shrek (one my fav. animation characters)...very funny....but I'm quite confident that she'll lose weight in no time after giving birth
Pregnant Anita Yuen Wing Yee will be giving birth in November. Chilam Cheung wrapped up his filming projects and has returned to Hong Kong to be by Anita's side during this critical period. Since their household will soon have a new baby, Chilam worked very hard in China earlier to earn "milk money."
With Chilam back by her side, the heavily pregnant Anita continues to go out frequently. Earlier, they had hot pot with several friends. Holding hands, Anita and Chilam were spotted at a convenience store buying bread.
Expectant mother, Anita, was filled with happiness as she anticipates the birth of her baby.
Anita's belly has grown significantly, adding to her difficulty in getting about. However this has not kept her at home, as she remains socially active with friends. Perhaps Anita realizes that once she gives birth, she will have to rest at home for [several] months.
Chilam was spotted by reporters driving Anita to a convenience store last night. Another couple got off the car with Chilam and Anita. Chilam held on tightly to Anita's hand as their walked towards the store's entrance.
Although Anita has increased in sized, her walk was still brisk and when she climbed the steps to the front door, she let go of Chilam's hand and walked up to the bread counter to select her own pastries. It is unclear whether Anita was buying herself supper or breakfast. Chilam browsed through some automobile magazines while waiting for Anita to complete her purchases.
When Anita and Chilam left the store, Chilam helped her carry the bag of bread. Anita realized they were being followed by reporters. Perhaps self-conscious about her weight increase, she smiled wryly, "Please don't take any more photographs!"
The reporters laughed and said pregnancy is a woman's state of ultimate happiness. When Anita heard the word "happiness," her heart smiled and with a blissful expression, boarded the car with Chilam and left.

Sorry this is a little outdated~{!-~}.news on 11 October. Anita brought vegetarian food for a senior Tibetan monk, ~{!0~}Ningbo Che~{!1~}. Apparently, Chingmy Yao introduced her to him. Last month, they went out to sea to release captive animals. (Note: ~{!0~}Fang Sheng~{!1~} or ~{!.~}free captive animals~{!1~} is a Buddhist practice of buying captive animals, usually fish or birds, and setting them free into the wild.) And on 22 Sep, they went to Causeway Bay to seek advice from the master of ~{!0~}Ningbo Che~{!1~}. Needless to say, Anita is doing all these for her baby, praying for health and blessings.
Anita revealed that she used to be irritable in the past but after being a Tibetan Buddhist, she is much calmer. She was friendly when reporters approached her but didn~{!/~}t want to reveal too much.
And Chingmy Yao was the ~{!.~}Ningbo Che~{!/~} master~{!/~}s ~{!.~}chauffer~{!/~} for the day.
Anita looks rather bloated in this pic tho:
