When is a good time to look for apartments?November 26 2002 at 3:30 AM | Zack (no login) from IP address 12.249.88.78 |
| I'm starting in January. When is the wisest choice to go to Dominica and have enough time to look for apartments? If I get there a week before school starts, will that be enough time to find an apartment near campus?
Has anyone heard about 110V apartments allowing for plugged in clocks to work properly? |

110 volts won't help on plug in clocks, they use 50 cycle. That can't be changed. Get a clock that runs on batteries |

One week is more than enough time DO NOT COME any earlier..you will be miserable because NO ONE else will be here. There is a good housing tour that the school offers. Take it. Also, when you first get here don't be too overwhelmed...take everything students say with a grain of salt...remember a lot of rumor fly around so try and get everything double checked. You will be fine and good luck. PS get a battery alarm clock...also the nokia cell phone people get here have a pretty loud alarm clock on them if you decide to buy one. | |
