| My ASR-10r has a scsi installed, and I also have a scsi device on my computer.
I`ve found some instruments(.efe) on the net I`d like to feed the asr-10
Can I hok the scsi up with the PC and transfer instruments .efe files etc.? |

So you can`t move files from a pc?? `Cause the floppy on the asr is running fat 16 as far as I can see, and windows xp formated floppys ain`t compatible..?
please help!! |

ASR-10 disks are not FAT16. Ensoniq have their own Format. There are quite a few ways to transfer samples from PC - ASR. Recycle V2.0 and below. EPSDISK.EXE. Chicken Systems Translator etc...... |

- Via what? MIDI? I see that you can translate .efe to .waw and backwards, but HOW CAN THE FREAKIN` MACHINES COMMUNICATE!!??? |

The ASR can format floppies in its' own format, yes, but it also can PC format. The ASR format can hold more blocks, but it can certainly read PC-formatted disks. It is the fact that ASR-10 wavesamples are of a proprietary file type that keeps one from loading .AIFF or.WAV files, as I see it. Am I right, people? | |
