Anyone using SCSI drives?

Most who have SCSI installed seem to use Zip drives. However I bought myself a 2GB SCSI hard drive to store instruments. But I'm having trouble finding the right kind of cable: 25pin male to 50pin female. Does anyone here have or know where to get one?

I buy all my SCSI supplies from this guy on eBay. Selling SCSI equipment for samplers is all he does. It's his business. He's very nice and honest. Check him out.

This seems to be getting too expensive. The cables would cost 30$, and I would need a PCI SCSI adapter (~20$) on top of that. I think I'm better off buying a Zip drive for around 20$.

But if I get a Zip drive, lets say Iomega ZIP-100, will it work right away? Do I still need somekind of an adapter, terminator, or something? Do all Zip drive models even work? There's Iomega Z100S2, Z100P2, etc.

the zip 100 works and you don't have to buy adapters...

I'm now thinking about buying an Iomega Z100-S2 100MB Zip Drive:

I'm wondering about the connections. The cable has DB25 connections on both ends. But is the one that I want to connect to my ASR10 right kind of? And how do I connect it to the computer?

25 pins is the one you need for the asr10 no need for an adapter.
Don't pay too much for it between 15-25$ is fine but not more.

How do you connect the Zip drive to your PC?

I guess by getting a pci scsi interface like this one:
an adapter 50-25 pins.
Then I think it should work.
That is what I'd do... I'd try
