Memory/zip question

Hey,

I just got a cheap ASR and I'm trying to figure it out. First off does Free System Blocks=31274 equal 16 mgs? And I see the SCSI port is there, with the output expander. What kinds of zip drives are good with this piece?

Thanx

Yes, you have 16 MEGs of RAM, but don't be so certain that you have the I/O expander. EVERY ASR-10 LOOKS like it has it from the outside (it comes stock with the female RCA jacks already installed) but you can't tell if the board has been installed unless you open up your ASR.

As far as ZIP drives, the 100 MEG and the 250 MEG work fine. I have one of the older 100 MEG ZIP drives with a built in terminator, and it works great.

Congratulations on picking one up for a good price, and I hope that you DO have the I/O expander installed! Have fun!
