Whenever I sample a bass, drum sound, or keyboard sound, I can hear a little pop at the beginning of the sample. How do I get rid of it. Please help

start your sampling a little bit before the sample (even if you are sampling off of a sample CD, where there is a blank space before the sample starts). If there's a blank space before the drum sample, then do this:

when you click "sample" and you get the sample screen with the level bar, use your left arrow to move the little asterik in the window. That asterik is the level where sampling is triggered. move it all the way to the left, then sample your sound, then go back and edit the start/end points of the sample, then truncate it. You'll get the extra memory back. This is the long way of doing it, but you'll get rid of that "click"

In addition to what Storm nicely summed up, I would add that you can stretch the sample across your entire keyboard, then continuously hit the LOWEST key and slowly increase the beginning mark of the sample until the pop goes away.

never thought of that. I'll have to try that one day.

What I do:
1) start sampling immediately and trigger sound manualy
2) remove resulting silence at beginning by moving sample start point until attak sounds good (still ignore klick)
3) truncate wavesample
3) do a fade in for the first 10 to 20 samples, lowe values for percussive sounds.

This yields the best result. If you want it quick: set trigger level so sampling starts automatically and just do 3)

nothing is simple
