Hi, Im new to the asr and i have problems loading my o.s. disk..... every time i put in a o.s. disk my asr says " File Op error Num 40"???

sounds like you need a new floppy

mine did the same thing the other day and i just put my original disc in..back it up in your directory..
May a shit old disc??

I paid to have mine fixed. probably got screwed but I was told that some fuse were bad a the previous owner had put foil in the slots?! don't ask me... but suppose to be fixed now.
same error file 40. That error must come up whenever there is any kind of error.

after typing this I decided to break out the ol ASR10...... shit gave me a 40
ERROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
