what do you guys think about buying a used asr 10 that has been refurbished and how much would you pay??and what should i look for when buying a used asr 10?

you should check out how expanded the memory is, preferrably it should be "maxed out", and if it comes with the SCSI port, Im assuming you know what that is-but if you don't, its an adaptor so your ASR will be able to read and load sounds from CD-ROMS...

and the prices will usually vary, but shouldn't be over $800, i'd say an average would be $550-700.
