ASR-10 Event Edit Sequencing Help

Hi,

I've been working with the ASR and have this problem of things sound just a little 'off'. I never got this in the mpc and I think its due to not being able to see waveform - I think I'm misjudging the samples and this throws the whole sequence off - get the wrong tempo, drums dont quantize right, etc.

It looks like event edit could solve this but I wasn't sure how to use it. Or is there something fundamentally wrong with what I'm doing. Is there any way to feel out better the beginnings of waveforms - im always just a little off I guess. And is there another way to figure out the tempos - tapping it out seems haphazard and never really works for me.

please let me know if theres any way to work with the asr in a way that's not so trial and error.

F.Y.I. I found another utility to copy those efe files to floppy. It called EPS Disk. I downloaded from the following site:
