how to chop a sample

i know how to record a sample and asssign it to a root key...but how do you chop that sample up

you mean chop it up as in cutting some off the beginning or end, etc...so that when you push the key it plays excatly/starts where you want it to? that is very easy...

edit/wave, adjust the #'s, while pressing key repeatedly...you can also press command/amp to adjust the volume of that sample as well

I'm hearing that you can chop the sample over 61 keys. Now i know i can chop each piece manually and lay it out over the board. Is there a way to spread a sample over the board any easier way. I don't mean one loop that goes up or down in pitch as i play the keys. I mean one loop, one pitch but broken into pieces over the keys. Something like acid or the motif 6 does to samples.

DID YOU EVER FIND OUT HOW TO CHOP ONE SAMPLE AND SPREAD IT OUT OVER THE 61 KEYS? I NEED THE ANSWER MYSELF. HELP PLEASE!!!

Read the manual guys - it's one of the best written and easiest to understand ever. You are missing so much by not reading the manual and it's so easy to read. You are ripping of your asr10 by not doing it!!

The manual does not do a very good job of explaining how to chop samples. Can you tell me the page number where the concept is remotely covered?
