the easy lazy way.

sample a loop you like, assign it to a program, cut your loop nicely and retrigger it via midi (don't use loopfunction because after a while it won't sync with your sequencer)

the hard creative way.

sample a lot of individual hits, assign them to different keys (search forum to do that), contstruct a real nice loop and be proud you did it yourself

can you go into detail on the easy way? I have apparently been doing it the hard way all this time lol

mainly assigning a sample to a program and chopping the loop.
