| I ALWAYS FIND MYSELF HAVING TO BOOST ON MY DRUMS WHEN I SAMPLE THEM INTO MY ASR-10. IF I DONT BOOST THEM THEY SOUND TOO WEAK/LOW.I WONDER IF THATS JUST HOW THE ASR-10 IS OR THEIR IS PROBABLY SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY SAMPLING ENGINE.ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. |

Yup, thats pretty much just how it is sometimes. You can do the the BOOST command like you've been doing, or you can try COMMAND-AMP-NORMALIZE GAIN which will bring the signal up to its peak. If you try that though, make sure to turn the boost off after its done processing or you might blow out a a speaker. It turns on the boost automatically for some reason after you perform NORMALIZE GAIN. This has damaged my ears a few times when I forgot to turn it off afterwards. |
