so im still a noob with the asr 10 and just bought an external scsi drive brand new from ebay, and i cant get it to work, the asr doesnt seem to recognize it, when i try to change the storage device or to format the scsi drive it does not recognize it, i know i need to format the blank 250 disk i have, but it also came with free zip disk of sounds and i cant get to load those up either, so this may seem like a broad question, but i just need some basic help loading this scsi drive. Oh ya and the operating disk i have is a rubber chicken disk with 8 sample sounds, with the 3.53 OS on it as well, so i dont know if this is a problem, if it is ive already ordered a normal OS disk.

The Rubber Chicken os disk is fine - if it boots, then it is okay. A different os disk won't solve your problem. My suggestion would be to contact the person you bought the drive from on fleabay - don't they offer support?

Make sure the Zip drives you have are compatible. What I mean is, if your Zip Drive is a 100 mb, then a 250 mb disk is not gonna work.

Conversely, if your Zip Drive is 250 mb and you have a 100mb disk, then it SHOULD work fine.

Look at the front of your zip drive and look for "zip" in white letters. Next to those letters will be a number (i.e. 100, 250, etc). The number is the mb that your drive will handle.
