Good news, everybody! We have new internal SCSI card reader drives and the install kits for EPS-16 or ASR-10 samplers in stock now!

This drive mounts right in the floppy slot and the cable kit attaches to your SCSI interface so that the rear SCSI Port is still available. The MCDISKi dual-slot SCSI card reader drive features fast loading time, no moving parts and zero noise during operation. It uses inexpensive Compact Flash cards and allows you to swap the cards for unlimited storage.

Visit our website for more information or give us a call.

problem?

October 9 2008, 6:23 AM

I have an ASR with floppy, but I boot from external zip- and cd-drives.
Sometimes ( after an error or something) my ASR only lets me boot from the floppy drive.
Wouldn't it be a problem to not be able to load from floppy anymore?
Peace.

I suppose in your case it might be but no one else who has purchased this solution has encountered that particular problem. Possibly you have something wrong with your SCSI interface and/or ASR-10?

One More Thing

If you have encountered an error that forces you to reboot, why not just power the ASR-10 off, then back on? That would clear any SCSI problem and make it possible to boot from the internal SCSI drive (or any other SCSI drive) again. I mean, you've already lost any sounds in memory if you are being asked to reboot, so why not refresh the entire sampler by cycling the power? I don't think I would leave the sampler powered on and just reboot from the floppy.

So can you give me a quick break down on the price for the cheapest two slot option you have?
