Still trying to go SCSI Card Reader.

Question is will I be able to use two 8gb cards formatted each into 4 2gb partitions?

Will the SCSI Card Reader show up as two 8gb drives with 4 partitions each?
That would rock having 16gb on my ASR10.

You are confusing the Kurzweil file system and the Ensoniq file system. An Ensoniq EPS or ASR can only use the first partition on any SCSI drive, so multiple partitions wouldn't do you any good. Using Translator, you can partition up to a 4GB CF card (8GB on an external HD) and access all of that space.

Kurzweil samplers allow you (or should I say require you) to create up to four 2GB partitions on a SCSI drive and use all four. But they are the only sampler brand that sees and uses mutiple partitions and that feature is only on the K2500 and K2600 models. The K2000 models can only access the first 2GB partition.

Hope this helps!

We have new SCSI internal card reader drives and install kits for the EPS 16+ and ASR-10 samplers!
