I have a UK (RHD) 1988 F-Plate Starion with a number of high performance parts which have never been fitted which I’m looking to sell as a complete lot. Mileage on car is 88,640.
Car has not been used for 5 years and not run for three years (no longer starts). I had used it regularly until the tin-worm was too great underneath for it to pass its MOT – at which point my intention was to completely overhaul / rebuild the old girl whith lots of added modifications. Unfortunately, like many great ideas, I never found the time or garage space to carry this through and have to accept I never will – hence she now has to go.
Paintwork is white and if the tin-worm was rectified would probably need a re-spray. Tyres were all as new when she was last roadworthy. Interior is reasonable with the usual worn sides to the drivers seat. I bought it with a non-standard steering wheel fitted, but have an original and also a spare electric aerial to replace the existing broken one. Stereo is a Sony radio cassette head unit with a cd changer in the boot.
Engine in its present state is stock apart from removed gas recirculation / fitting of custom down pipe, opened up air box with K&N filter, upgraded coil & ignition leads, and ARP head studs which I fitted whilst undetaking a head gasket change.
This also comes with the following parts which have never been fitted:
19c Race Turbo from TEP
3” custom straight-through exhaust from USA (doesn’t have rear box)
Race fuel pump
Rising rate fuel pressure regulator
Bleed valve
Replacement electrical plugs for fuel injectors
Large custom intercooler from USA
Replacement radiator in A1 condition
Narrow body bonnet with air scoop
+ a whole host of bits stripped from previously owned Mark 1&2 Starions.
This is a major project for anyone to undertake, and I would in all likelihood expect the final buyer to break her up for spares. However, I will not split and buyer has to collect (although I may be able to arrange a trailer / transport at an additional charge). Vehicle is located nr High Wycombe in Bucks.
Total value of the performance parts alone is well in excess of £1k without shipping costs (check out the prices on TEP’s website to confirm). I will accept best offer over £1200 for the lot. This will also be advertised elsewhere and sale may be withdrawn at any time.
