If you’re looking to buy an early model R200 rear end I might be selling mine. It is a LSD R200 out of a 1983 Nissan Silvia RS-X. I’m going to sell just about everything out of the rear end of my RS-X.
If you are interested make me an offer.

Daemien, all long nose R200's are the same, from when ever they started, untill the S13/R32 era. They're also all mechanical.
Robert,if you're refering to the R200 in your DR,it's mechanical, not viscous (unless you've changed it since Darren had it) and No,changing the oil in a viscous diff is of no help,as the Nissans run a sealed cartridge for the LSD bit.The oil just lubricates the gears.

darren told me he had mistakely put the drive shaft in the wrong way and the oil leak, killing the mechanical R200. he said it had a viscous lsd from a 4 door R31 turbo import. But i might pull it out and make sure now.

Hahaha, yeah that sounds like Darren! :P
R31 import 4 doors (called an HR31 Passage) share the same mechanical center as the HR31 coupes... unless he's done something tricky and used a later viscous LSD from a short nose R20,but I doubt he'd have gone to that trouble. Whip the back cover off the diff and have a look!

There was actually a long nose R200 Viscous LSD but not here . You'll know it as the half shafts are different and unique , one short one long . I cant remember exactly but it may have been in a US spec Z31 .
Do a search on Handy Dandy Denny with ya , silly name but lots of handy Nissan drivline info from that era .
