Ive been using an older microtech MT-8 on my FJ20et for some years now. It is configed for dual ignition output (wasted spark).

To date, the ECU has performed well and is easy enough to tune via the remote handpiece.
The cold running enrichment is a little bit clumsy due to insufficient loadpoints but its a small price to pay.
The only dramas I have had were related to wiring dramas and nothing to do with the ECU itself.
Microtech themselves have usually been quite helpful with any dramas I have had.
Id have another Microtech ECU anytime.

I know there are lots of posts covering different ECU types etc but i know that there are a few people around using microtech on FJ and are suppose to be pretty good bang for buck. I personally use a WOLF 3D V4 and have had really good results. Starting is great, hot or cold and drivability is spot on. The idle is a little rough but i dont care, it sounds tuff and i'm running high pressure with 550s so i expected it.
