I think most would say go a GT28RS (disco potato) they seem to be hard to beat for the power level you're after.

And before any of the regulars make a funny quip at my expense, I'm not after that power level

I have recently upgraded my turbo and I went down the GT3071 road, with your mods i wouldnt have any hassel going as big a turbo as you like. I ran the biggest internally gated T25 flanged turbo i could. GT3076R. Im making 234KW on 18psi. I actually thought that the the 3071 was too small. And yeah, the 3071 is T25 flanged. Im also using stock internals. But its all in the tune really. Take jasons ute for example. 409HP on stock internals.

How do you want your car to perform? That is always the key question when selecting a turbo.

If you want to be a dyno king then say so, but I'll tell you what, in the real world with the GT28RS my FJ20ETZed would be gone while these big turbo dyno kings are waiting to spool up.

3071R is the turbo you want ... will support big power without compromising too much low down torque. perfect for big power street 2 litre (by this i mean 350 odd rwhp)
