Hey Brian I have a brake question for you......What can I do with the brakes on my Hillman Hunter to make it stop WELL once the FJ20et transplant is finished? Thanx.

Aaron
we can help with something as simple as cutting a Ferodo Racing DS2500 compound pads down to suit those calipers add some 551 Brembo brake fluid that wont harm that era of calipers and fit up some street legal briaded lines for for a start.
But AP racing does a vintage line of 4 pistion lug mount calipers. If you can give me some more details on the Hillman Hunter and what you have done with your suspension (ie.) any changes from stock,i can find a few different solutions for you.
Cheers
Brian

Thanx for the reply Brian. So far the brakes and suspension are completely standard. The car will be used as a daily driver with plans to occaisonally drag race it on the weekend. I have been told that the brakes are not too bad once you add a VH44J booster to the system, but I have my doubts that they will be sufficient for my application. The diff will be replaced shortly with the exact same diff as in your S12. I would like to keep the 13" standard wheels if possible as I want this car to remain VERY unnoticed! Cheers.

With the S12 live axle try to get some bluebird series 3 axles and disc brake set up. They will slip on and give the something to work with.
Is it possible to show a pic. of the front suspension?
