Hey... live in SA, bout to start the first things for my FJ20ET into MGB Conversion.
For those who don't know, this is an MGB...

I've sent off my "Approval to Modify" forms into Transport SA, so i'll see what they reckon about the conversion!
It will be fully engineered and (initially!) road legal.

I'm in the market for a DR30 (complete) or frontcut; which would get the ball rolling very well.
Anyone know of any Jap places that have these things in stock?
I'll be calling places in the week anyway.

So yep, thats my plans.
There is already one in SA, albeit not engineered, so it is possible.
I've driven it and its an ABSOLUTE ball tearer!!!
(and excellent sleeper too)

My brother had one with a L series L18 in and auto in it, was a 68 model, looked like a fairly easy conversion.

FJ would get difficult with the inlet and exhaust manifolds, did the one you got a ride in have custom inlet and exhaust?

Good luck with it all.

Cheers

Martin

It uses the S12 inlets (shorter? I think; brings it closer to the engine)
and custom exhaust to turbo manifold.
There is still plenty of room once these are done.

Mate if you need any MGB parts let me know as my Girlfriend works at a workshop that restores them.

Aaron,

I bet it will not have daisies painted on it either. LOL.
Now you won’t to hurt me? How are you going to do that? If you try to run over me I hope you are in the Holden. At least that way I will have plenty of time to get out of the way!!! LOL.
Cheers again for the paint beads the other day
Oh, and your air temp sensor will be ready in the morning.
