Hello everyone. I'm from Canada and am considering buying a 1983 dr30 Skyline. I though I would get some opinions from people who know these cars well. This is the car.

The guy wants $3500 CDN. The car needs a timing chain and lower control arm. Is this beast worth the money? It would be a weekend driver and a project car.
What do you folks think? Thanks.

I feel like I've seen that car on here recently. Looks good to me, especially if you are considering it a project car. Once you are in there changing the chain, you can put the MAZDA chain guides on it as well. I say give him $3,250.00 if he'll take it and go for it.

Can't say I know Canadian second hand prices but if that's the car, in my opinion based on what's avaiable in Australia then this is definately a bargain.

I'd buy it... Hell, I paid more than that US for my DR30 (but then again, it's the only legal one currently in the US) and mine was in crappy condition compared to that one. If you decide to sell parts off of it, let me know .

Parts? It's a complete car. And I can't stay away. I'm irresistibly drawn to it. And Bora tells me he would rather sell it to someone who is going to keep it in one piece and drive it than use it for parts.
