If you get any change from $2,000 you will be doing well. You will need an oil tank, preferably round and tall, lines, fittings, sump pump, fabricated sump pan, plus all associated brackets.
Mine is a two stage, scavange only set-up. We use the standard oil pump to deliver oil to the engine, while the two stage scavange pump draws opil from the front and rear of the sump pan.

Yep, I run a full drysump setup. I just use old works stuff...
You can get small 2 stage pumps for around $1400, you'll need around $1k of -12AN line and fittings, + a sump pan + a tank + an oil cooler...
the only really problem with the FJ oiling is that the stock oil pumps seems to gark at sustained high rpm (8k+)
Have a look at an external pump for the high pressure stage, but still keep the oil in the sump...solves the problem and keeps it affordable..

Having said that, there are plenty of succesfully big rev FJs running the stock turbo oil pumps
