| It looks like I have 2 sets of turbo cams, rather than a set of N/A's and a set of turbos. Will I loose alot by running the Turbo cams on my Mikuni inducted N/A FJ? It's been bored to 91.5mm, 10.5:1 compression, and a complete valve rego. |

From what I have seen the Turbo and N/A cams are the same.
It is the cam timing that is different.

Thanks for that info, now I dont have to call and curse out the guy I got the two motors from for cadging the good parts for himself.
My Mikunis are dual 44's, OE jet blocks, 38mm inner venturis
pretty common set up. I just got a set that were race prepared for my vintage 1600 race car. I am planning to copy the preparation done to them on my street car. It involves sealing up some vent holes in the carb body, reventing in a differant location, and a couple other odds and ends. this keeps your fuel levels at a constant and keeps you from running lean and stumbling during hard cornering. | |
