Remote Oil cooler / filter for fj20 March 30 2007 at 5:50 PMNo score for this post Oscar (no login ) from IP address 165.228.2.73
I got a oil cooler recently and I want to hook it up along with a remote oil filter to my fj20
Can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase the parts I need to complete the conversion.
I'm guessing I'll need the following;
1. sandwich plate on motor
2. Lines with the right ends of them to connect to oil cooler.
I'd say pirtek might be able to do the lines for me, but who does the sandwich plate things?
cheers
Oscar
btw im in sydney

I did this just recently. I bought the sandwich plate from VPW (www.vpw.com.au), along with a remote oil thermostat. Both were Perma-Cool items.
The real killer was the cost of the fittings for the oil lines. I used Speedflow Push-Lok fittings. Total cost for the lines (hose and fittings) was nearly $400...and I had to put them together myself! Ouch.

Thanks for the info, do you know if a oil kit from a RB / SR / CA would be compatible?
