Yes the fj20e uses the throttle switch. However it only seems to use two of the wires and its simply a throttle on or throttle off. It will run fine without it.

Because on the ECU-pinout of the FJ20ET is see
18: Throttle Switch Full Throttle
25: Throttle Switch Idle
When I read this, than the FJ20ET uses also a switch instead of a position sensor?

Careful with your ignition timing if you don't use the idle contact switch. The stock ECU seems to change the timing quite a bit when the switch is closed, so best to set timing with it working.
