| i brought longer wheel studs for my 1600 to fit my new rims but there a bit to long as it was the only size they made besides standard 1600 size, so i need to cut around 10mm off i tried with a hacksaw and it was soo damm hard then there was a very hard steel rod in the middle of the stud which the saw could not get thru, what else can i use?? can i use a grinder with a cutting blade. cos i dont really wanna have to cut 16 studs with a handsaw, any help appreciated cheers |

Probably a bit late mate, but yes you can use a grinder with a cutting disk.My grinder is a 4.5 inch version, which seem to be the most popular at the moment.Get some 1mm cut off wheels if you can, they cut so much better than the standard disks. | |
