Can a FJ20e that is built to run on Methanol run on 98 ron?
To my knowledge the FJ20e has 14:1 cr and was run in a speedway car.

I've heard that it should be ok as long as the timing is retarted, is this true and what else would make this work?

You'd want to wind quite a bit out of the timming! I'm not even sure if 14:1 would run on 98RON Premimum... Another issue you will have is the fueling.Methanol engines are set up to injest around double the amount of fuel as a petrol engine. If it's EFI,then you could wind the fuel trim back (depending on how far it went-remember you want to lean it out by HALF) or if it's carby'd you'll have to do some serious rejetting!
