I have cracked a piston in my fj 20 datto,Im thinking of rebuilding the bottom end with forgies etc etc..What are other people set up and what pistons.My set up at the moment is hybrid T 28.Im going to upgrade the turbo later in the year to a garrett gt 30 and rebuild the head,cams ap bolts etc etc.Aiming at 350 -400 HP at the rims.

Hey dude bad luck with that cracked piston. In my Dr's FJ I am running standard crank/rods (balanced and equal weighted respectively)arias forged pistons, tomei cams/adj sprockets, 550cc squirters, GT30xx turbo all run by a wolf V4 for 350atw@19psi. Build it right and build it strong and with a good tune she'll be sweet. I was told with bigger injectors my FJ would be good for over the 400rwhp mark at around 22psi but thats just nutso **** IMO

Sorry to say i didn't build the motot dood, was built and put into car by previous owner, but from memory he got them direct from tomei ex japan, I will try and find out and get back to u.
