I need help I put fj20et on my Gemini now I went to start the engine I have problem with transistor coil i connect every thing but there is no spark I think the problem with coil transistor so my coil didn’t work I have tow question
1- what coil transistor can I use for my fj20et because I cant find the stander one in my country , there is any site can I order one?
2-can I use 280zx turbo coil transistor ?

Do you have 12v +ve connected to the coil? And is the body of the coil well earthed. I think you can use an rb30 (commodore or skyline) coil and transistor

Yes I check the coil earth and it’s ok
My loom come with 8 pin according to the diagram on the site pin 5 is for coil transistor with black / Blue color I didn’t have this one at all
I do a search and I find 280zx turbo coil but I don’t know its work with my fj or not

all the RB30 hear non turbo and the transistor fixed near the distributor and come with tow pin only and the fj come with tow bin and tow wires so I think it well not work

Ok. your blue wire needs to go to pin number 5 of the ecu.

The white wire needs 12v +ve

You also need to put 12v +ve to the postive terminal on the coil, (this wire was not included in my loom so I ran another wire from the ignition)

...i am talking about the wires in the top picture, the ones coming from the coil transistor with the 'T' shaped plug.
