| Ok looking at replacing the clutch in my DR as the one innit is badly worn and very heavy on the leg, don't know it's specs but is a 5 puk unit and HD pressure plate of unknow origin. What are other people using for 300+rwhp FJ's? |

im using a 5 puck carbon/ceramic sprung centre with 1200kg pressure plate. Its really good. paid $680 for it from NPC. it doesnt grab and its not rediculously hard on the leg. Im making a shade under 400HP but i feel the pressure plate may need to be upgraded soon. I have rather tall gearing and if i drop the clutch in 3rd on occasion i get a slip from it. But depends if you wanna do 3rd gear dumps??

yeah im using the 5 puck cushioned job.seems to be good so far i.e. grabs tops and is still drivable, ran a few times at the creek as well as track days ect and havent had a prob with slipping...only thing i find is it can be a bit shuttery when you are driving normal for long periods.....
If i had to buy a new clutch tomorrow id buy the same...
