just wanted to know how VG30DET turbo`s go on FJ20s
are they a good upgrade? much more power? do they come on
boost quicker than stock T3s?

and what has to been done to put it on my FJ20ET

ok i been search`n and was reading that one bloke said he
had a VG30 tubro on his FJ it made 14psi by 2,500rpm through to 7,500
and made about 180rwkws?

does this sound right? and is it just a take the old turbo off and bolt the
VG on or do i have 2 change oil lines etc?

I am setting up a RB25 T3 on my FJ20, not sure bout the VG30 one but with the RB25 turbo you just have to spin the housings to suit and get a custom oil feed line setup, with both of these im sure you will need to hook up coolant, also new dump pipe is needed

full boost at 2.5k seems a little optimistic to me. I have seen them run good numbers on RB20's but not with the response you mention.

I have been in 2 mates Nissan Cima's and they both make 8 psi at around 2.5k bog stock

ok so u reckon go for the ball bearing VG30 turbo ?
cause i can get a hi flow T3 or a VG30 turbo for the same
price and im only chase`n around the 170-190rwkw
