Ok guys, i have an fj20et out of a dr30 the engine compression is

ENGINE COMP

DRY
150 150 150 150

WET
160 155 160 155

Now the motor blows alot of black and blue smoke when you get up it and also sometime son idle and i notice it is worse on deceleration, now do valvesteam seals if they are worn burn oil on acceleration or decel only?

If it does through oil in on acceleraiton maybe this could be throwing spark and creating unburnt fuel?

AS i am unsure as to why it would be running os rich... If i freee rev the car u can literally see a cloud of black some times if th ecar is hot the whole thing ignites thats the only plus.

Any thoughts on why else it could be.. i have valve stem seals here to be replaced.

always thought blue smoke on decel or after long periods of idle was stem seals.

I know but it is doing it on acceleration as well..

but the compression test doesnt appear to be that bad to show that it could be rings.

Thats why i am trying to figure if it could be anything else?

black smoke 'typically' is fuel smoke

blue/white smoke is oil smoke. so rings, stem seals, or even crankcase pressure causing oil leaks in the turbo seals. or just simply a failed seal in the turbo causing oil leaks under higher oil pressure.

Im going to take a guess that it may be stem seals but really bad and blowing out the spark sometimes and fouling plugs causing the black smoke..

long shot but ill change the stem seals and see what happens..
