Hi,

I'm installing a trimatic behind my FJ20et. The box and bellhousing are away at the moment getting matched up but I think there will be a problem with setting this up and getting it to shift.
My trimatic has a Stage 2 shift kit (not full manual) and was behind a N/A Holden 355 . I don't really want to go full manual yet so i'm wondering how the auto will be able to shift as it will have no vacuum refference when the FJ is making boost?
Is it possible to get it to shift and kickdown with a turbo setup?
Anyone done this?

Help much appreciated,

Blayne

you might need to take the vac pick up form very close to the turbo inlet, but on secound thought it shouldnt matter, becouse and engine only has vac on closed and small throttle openings just the same as a N/A engine, I dont think you will have any probs. Euan
