well, my machinist took the motor to inspect it... upon inspection we discovered that the crank had been walking...
he said that it was a good chance that the Crank Thrust Bearing is toast... we don't know if the crank itself has any damage yet but I'll know something in the next day or two
anyway, hes saying that we will more than likely need new thrust bearings... I hope that's all of it... he was saying that there could be damage to the crank, but depending on how bad, we would have to weld and machine the crank back to new... not something id like to try and push hp off of...
Is there any where that I could get them? Are they the same as the L series? and are there any chances of oversizes?

Yeah dude the L18 Main bearings fit and pretty sure they come in oversize.
Infact to get the correct thrust clearance you need to rub the L18 thrust bearing on some 600 grit wet and dry sitting on a flat surface like a piece of glass or slate to ensure even filing.
You will need a dial gauge to check the clearance.
Go to www.swmotorsport.com they can give you all the info you need.

well, i went to see the motor today, said movements was like .040(i think thats right, forty-thousandth of an inch)i saw like a half of an inch of movement...
we haven't check it yet, this is just eye-balling it
and NOW i understand about the thrust and the main bearings, but the fileing of the bearing is on the inner side of the main bearing right? if so, would that effect the size as to the thrust?
