Can anyone confirm if I can use an FJ20ET front cover assembly replacing the original FJ20E, to benefit from the wider gears and diameter?
Is it a straightforward job or need any changes in my std FJ20E engine?
Thank you

yes we bolted a turbo front cover and oil pump straight on our non turbo engine, then we did end up ditching factory oil pump all together and went for a single stage wet sump "peterson"oil pump with real good results,it was a relitavely straight forward mount, these are sourced from aussie and i paid about $1000NZD for one,i found that brand new front cover and oil pump from japan was gonna cost over $1500bucks!!if the engine wasnt in bits at the moment i would take some photos of how we mounted it,it wont be assembled for another couple of months

oh yes and you do get better oil volume flow and pressure with the turbo front cover,i also plugged the pressure by pass which everyone will say is a no no but bugger them i just used
high flow "fram" oil filter,i cant remeber the exact part number but they are an "h"series filter
